Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 31, 2012 7:46 pm Hello, We are currently watching our house been build and have just reached lock-up. When looking through the house the other day I leant against one of our Jason Windows and the window frame moved 15mm away from the plaster at the bottom. I checked a few other windows and found 4 other windows seemed loose. Did I do something wrong or am I right in thinking that the window frames should not move from someone leaning against them? I would love to hear your opinions Thanks Re: Window frame movement in brick walls 2Jan 31, 2012 9:31 pm Are all the skirting's attached yet? I'd be telling the builder to check them, they really shouldn't be moving. Easier to fix before skirting and paint is done Re: Window frame movement in brick walls 3Feb 01, 2012 4:56 pm Sarah n Glen Hello, We are currently watching our house been build and have just reached lock-up. This needs to be done right or you may face movement issues later in the life of the house. ----------------------------------------------------------- Monte Carlo Grande Elite with McDonald Jones http://mdjatvermont.blogspot.com/ Have look at your house plans and you will probably find that brick articulation joint has been missed.
