Please come up and have a chat if you ever see us there. We should be moving in in the next couple months. Are you building with red ink? If so, I know exactly which one you are!!! Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 143Sep 17, 2012 10:41 pm We are the corner one next to the two red ink homes, we are building with ideal homes, the plans are in the final stages of council so hopefully we will see action by the november.. its a long wait Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 144Sep 21, 2012 11:06 pm It is a REALLY long wait. Are still trying to get things through council in 10 days? I drive past your block all the time. It's a great position right near the park! And it's so nice your neighbours are building already. I can't believe how long it's taking for people to start building on our side. There is finally a new slab just a couple down from us, but given the weather and the sandstorm that evidently whips up all around there, I want as many as houses as soon as possible:) Start a thread! I would love to see your plans and selections. Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 145Sep 22, 2012 10:40 am Leighlou your neighbours must be building with C Homes lol jk most of my suburb is getting built also and we have been ready since day dot but at this rate we will be the last house built in my estate lol. Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 146Sep 27, 2012 10:03 pm Hey AC27! They must be you're right. Don't like my chances of having any less sand any time soon then if your builds anything to go by. What's the holdup anyway? And you mentioned in your thread something about rebadging again, what builder where they before? Hope it gets started for you soon Anyway here is some fun pics of accessories. Every time more bits and pieces appear it gets me pretty excited:) some taps, showerheads and toilets today Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 147Sep 27, 2012 10:34 pm Looks stunning leighlou!! Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 148Sep 27, 2012 10:38 pm I love it, everything just seems so nice and fresh Love your colour choices... Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 149Sep 28, 2012 11:43 am soo nice leighlou! did u do the toilet sign and tape yourselves? wish we had thought of that Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 150Sep 28, 2012 9:21 pm Hey thanks guys. I was a bit taken aback by the size of the shower heads to be honest but I have grown used to them after staring at them for a while. I think once the screens, mirrors and everything else is in they'll look less massive My husband loves them, and can't wait for his first shower! We didn't tape the toilet up Nayzv that must've been the installer. Pretty happy he did though, how nice of him. My tradies have been quite messy, as you can probably see by the photos. I am ITCHING to go in and do some cleaning. The sand scratching on the tiles sets my teeth on edge and I do get worried about small things that catch my eye, like small dings in the plaster, goops of silicon on benches, sand in the sliding door tracks etc but have to remind myself that the cleaners will take care of everything (hopefully). Render going on tomorrow Re: Building with 101 Residential (WA) 151Sep 28, 2012 10:55 pm Okay so the render on the ground floor is starting tomorrow and so I have to make a choice about what colour to paint my front door (at the moment it's going to be white at handover but I have always intended on painting it soon after to add a bit of interest to the front of the house, and I love coloured doors!) So I need some help to decide on what colour everyone! Here are my options: Front of House: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Current boring front door: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Aqua (this house has the same colour cladding as my render colour (Milton Moon): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Blue: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Yellow: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ [/URL] Uploaded with ImageShack.us Also let me know if you think I should stick with white. All my window frames are white, my shutters are going to be white, and the chairs for the veranda are white cape cod ones. Thanks in advance Re: Building with 101 Res. (WA) - Help choose Front Door col 152Sep 28, 2012 11:04 pm I would stick to white.... I would wait and maybe change the colour at a later date Re: Building with 101 Res. (WA) - Help choose Front Door col 153Sep 28, 2012 11:22 pm Ooooh Leighlou!! You just posted a photo of Georgica Pond's front door, the one with the aqua. Do you read her blog? I have based my whole house on her and her sister's old house. Just love everything she has done. That front door was painted using a Benjamin Moore (American brand) paint formula she has the name of it on her blog. I love blue doors and although I ended up opting for white for our pivot door I am still tossing up with the idea of buying the tin of blue paint and getting the painter to use that instead. I am having major regrets about not being braver. We too have Milton Moon on all our exterior. Hey if you go blue or a different colour other than white it will give me the confidence to do it to my pivot door. I vote to paint it a different colour, it will be so awesome...and I'll be sooo jealous of your bravery. Re: Building with 101 Res. (WA) - Help choose Front Door col 154Sep 28, 2012 11:26 pm I'm dying here, I just read back a little bit and your having cape cod chairs on your verandah with your white windows and white shutters...how gorgeous Are they the airondack ones? (I know I spelt that wrong but you know the ones I mean). Going off to read your thread. Re: Building with 101 Res. (WA) - Help choose Front Door col 155Sep 29, 2012 9:17 am Thanks Mary, it will be white at first so I can see how I like it. But I am a lover of colour. I know you wouldn't know it from my base colours but I have very colourful art, cushions, towels etc. Hey Tash, YES I do read her blog, I saw that she used Benjamin Moore paint and then said you could get the same colours through Bristol paints here but then I called them and they said they stopped doing that a couple years ago. Totally gutted. I had chosen BJ paints for nearly every room My chairs are adirondacks Seems like you and I have a similar love of new england/hamptons style. I am going for a hamptons/modern mashup with our house. I don't feel nervous painting my door, I painted my last house (little cottage) blue with white trim! It looked awesome. I encourage you to be brave, it's only paint and you can always change it Your house plans are amazing, and I am very excited to follow you now p.s. Here's a pict of my chairs. We have the exact same style, you describe it how I do...kinda a hamptons, french, industrial kinda mishmash. I was going to mention to you that she said she used Bristol paints, it's so hard going on Houzz and finding great paint colours only to see they are always from Benjamin Moore. You'll notice as my house progresses that I have used some of her colours and got ideas for my kitchen from her blog and white verandahs blog, it was a huge help as I couldn't find a display home to see what things look like as so many others do when building. You can certainly follow along, you'll be able to give me advice and keep posting pics please. Tash Building with 101 Res. I think with all the grey and white blending in I would want a door that doesn’t so I think you should be bold and choose a red colour.
