Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 28, 2012 2:20 pm Hi All, I am struggling to visualise the look of the front elevation of my new build and am looking for recommendations. My plan currently has 450mm eaves around the main bedroom and then has 300mm eaves around the portico which is connected to the bedroom. Will this difference in eave width look odd? I am struggling with the decision to leave it as it is or change both eaves to 450mm width. Re: Help me make a decision! Eaves width 2Jan 28, 2012 2:48 pm I think both look ok, the narrower eaves make the bedroom stand out nicely. I hope there id not a huge price difference to put the wider eaves on, there would be lucky to be an extra 2m of timber and if you have tiles there would most probably be no extra. Oh and a bit extra for the wider eave sheets. Re: Help me make a decision! Eaves width 3Jan 28, 2012 3:42 pm I would, and have, go for 450 mm all round. Looks better and is environmentally friendlier (OK, it depends on which side they are on). Couldn't find the trimmer - not sure if there isn't one simply because the eave is so narrow. Went ahead with the spring toggles and it all worked out… 7 5870 |
