Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - OMG I love our floor 1974Sep 16, 2013 6:35 pm Awesome floors! I have a somewhat technical question, did they cut the floorboard to fit around door frames, or did they cut the bottom of the door frames so the floorboard tucks in underneath it (ie no gaps around the door frame instead a slight gap from bottom of door frame to top of floorboard)? Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - OMG I love our floor 1975Sep 21, 2013 12:18 am Thoughts are with you SB. I'm just hoping it's not what I am thinking, but take care and we all look forward to hearing from you. Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - OMG I love our floor 1976Oct 10, 2013 6:33 pm Congratulation on you fabulous new home. Just love ur kitchen and those floors wow!!!!! Hope you get all your problems sorted out after the enormous roller coaster ride you have had. My husband went to a seminar at home base after first hassles after per start. Was advise to get an addition to your contract that states you keep back 10% of final payment until all faults rectified. The person stated that at least gives builders an incentive to get stuff finished and thus avoid the usual dragging out of repairs When we asked Redink they stated it could not be done as fixed contract. Really it should be standard. I think if you pay that much for a house you should expect a complete job. Did Gemmill offer you the option to have another window supplier? We want another window supplier but they refused and only want to install Dowell windows although the quality is not up to our expectations. <frustrating> Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - good outcome for win 1979Apr 28, 2015 12:32 pm LLLLNA deeps Jason windows definitely do them - they are the window supplier for DAH and they have the bifold windows in most of their display homes.
