Yep - that is one of the main reasons we decided to go with them. It is a small husband and wife business where the wife is in the showroom and the husband installs all the flooring. All other installers are employees and they only ever do one install at a time, so the husband is able to oversee each install. They were very reasonably priced too They might be a bit out of your way as they are SOR but if you are ever over Myaree drop into their showroom http://www.auwebcenters.com/amazingtimberflooring/index.html bradster181 Very nice, you deserve some happiness, it was overdue. Thanks Bradster bradster181 When do your lights arrive? This delivery is a real consideration when ordering lights. Serialbuilder Yeah have your lights arrived? My lights arrived the day after my sparky disappeared for 8 days My ever reliable sparky, who arrived home on Wednesday then decided to go away on a boys weekend (the only time the lights could be done because the flooring guys are at the house during the week) and so won't be doing the lights this break either There'll be no excuses next break because the flooring guys will be all finished!! It has only been the downlights that I have issues with slow freight, all the other lights I ordered turned up within the week. Actually, even the curtains I ordered from the US took less time to arrive in Perth than the downlights took to come from over east! I still have to work out what lights I want in the minor bedrooms and my office. I really should get onto that Our custom Gemmill Home in Bedfordale WA Build thread:https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53788 Timeline on page 1 Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - flooring sneak peak 1931Aug 07, 2013 9:21 pm SB is your stone essastone? And is it 20mm? If so can you do me a favour? Look underneath any overhang and see if you can see black print stating the colour etc. Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - flooring sneak peak 1932Aug 07, 2013 9:28 pm Our stone is Absolute Stone. I'll have a look next time I'm at the house to see if there's any print underneath it. Glad your floor guy is great, you have to catch a break sometime Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - flooring sneak peak 1935Aug 08, 2013 12:38 pm SB we've been in our house for two years and still haven't sorted out the lights for the study, laundry and bathroom. Mainly because we can't agree. I'm close to buying what I want, getting a sparky to install them and waiting to see how long it takes my husband to notice! Re: Custom Gemmill home in Bedfordale - flooring sneak peak 1936Aug 08, 2013 6:08 pm Those floors are so damn sexy. I may or may not have tried to french kiss my computer screen. We have signed with Gemmill, and as I've said in my thread, your story has given me chills since I started reading it! And thanks for posting the flooring link. I'm looking for quotes atm, and was going to ask for your contact. We are NOR, but I think a trip to Myaree might be in order!!!! Do you think they would come up? (only about 10km north, not too far!) I'm so jealous of so much in your house - it looks amazing! I will check the laundry bench when I go up on the weekend (that's the only entry into the house that isn't onto the wood floors). I think if I look in the cupboards, I should be able to see the underside of the bench Scotty Dog Your floors look great, I think the white dust might be from nailing into the concrete and its the dust? Glad your floor guy is great, you have to catch a break sometime Ah that would make sense about the white dust The floor guy is AMAZING I am over the moon with how they look and they still have another coat of varnish to go! It feels great for something to actually work out better than planned for once zircon SB we've been in our house for two years and still haven't sorted out the lights for the study, laundry and bathroom. Mainly because we can't agree. I'm close to buying what I want, getting a sparky to install them and waiting to see how long it takes my husband to notice! If he's anything like my hubby, he will never notice I had a look in a couple of lighting stores today and still can't find anything. They are either too extravagant for the rooms or are unable to take a bright enough light globe. I think I'm just going to get hubby to put a plain old batten up and change them later down the track when the rooms are properly set up. fancy pants Those floors are so damn sexy. Overall we are happy with the quality of the build and know that the bones of the house are top notch. Most of our dramas stemmed from building in the hills and a custom build - without this everything probably would have gone smoothly. I'm pretty sure the flooring people work all over Perth. I can't recommend them highly enough and my floors not even finished yet!
