Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - We Have Moved In :o) 362Sep 22, 2012 8:23 am I will get some soon of the place. They wont be too detailed though as i am not one to show the world all our possesions. I have to try and get some pro style shots of our kitchen as it looks really nice with the lights on. I need to get more LED globes as the pendants are halogens and it looks weird with 2 styles Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - We Have Moved In :o) 363Sep 22, 2012 8:59 am Brads, I love love love your home... one of my favourite new homes i have seen on this forum.... So much class and character Oh and we have the same front doors but mine is in cedar with a jarrah stain and wrought iron pull handles Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 364Sep 24, 2012 12:37 pm Big Congrats to Petar, Suzana and the Bazdaric Homes team for winning the 2012 MBA award for Exhibition/Project Home $350,001 and over. A well deserved award for the team let me tell you Here is a link to the MBA website http://www.mbansw.asn.au/Excellence-Awards/EIH/2012/82/ I am loving this place more and more every day. Now the grass is down and the mud is being kept outside we can sit down and enjoy the place a bit more. Previously we were spending every spare minute cleaning up the dirt, the joys of a new home i guess. I promise i will get some pics up soon. I am too busy watering 1500sqm of fresh grass Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 365Sep 24, 2012 9:40 pm Glad you got your lawn down Brad and that Telstra has got things sorted for you. Grass makes such a huges difference, Add Kids + pets+ sand and your house is never clean. Congrats to Petar on the award what fanstastic news. Looking foward to seeing some pics when you get a chance. Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 366Nov 17, 2012 8:39 pm Well its been a while now since i have posted anything in here. A few things have happened and things have been repaired. We had our Smeg range hood totally die on us. Our air con had a leak and we have had some pretty major repairs carried out on our d0dgy home hub Our lawn has been laid and looks amazing. Our gardens have been started and cant wait for them to grow in properly. Hedging has been started but i need another 120 Red Robins to complete it all. I will get some pics of the garden soon enough as its not far from complete now. A quick couple of pics till i can get some more tomorrow One quick pic of the completed kitchen as well. We just need some black stools so we can get rid of the crappy old timber stools Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 367Dec 04, 2012 8:09 pm Hi Brad, Well, we have had some problems too. We signed with Petar over 11 weeks ago and it took 9 weeks to get into council as he seems unable to get Builders Home warranty insurance. He finally got permission to submit the application to council without the insurance on the understanding that he would be able to show the council a copy once the policy was in-force. However, we have found out today that he is going on holidays for 6 1/2 weeks and the insurance is still not through, so if there are any further problems with it he will not be available to fix them. Plus if council require any further information, their requests will go unanswered. By the time he gets back from holidays (end of January) it will be 19 weeks since we signed the contract (over 1/3 of a year!) and we will have nothing to show for it - except the banks interest bill for the amount already paid to him. We are NOT happy! Elly Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 368Dec 06, 2012 11:33 pm Looking lovely Brad - hope you have a ride on lawn mower, or some sheep - thats alot of lawn Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 369Dec 07, 2012 12:37 am Brad I definitely prefer your home to the one on the website because you've kept the feel of french provincial throughout, so there's a lovely flow. Well done!! Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 370Dec 11, 2012 8:20 pm Charnley, most certainly do. Its great actually as my girlfriend and i fight over who is going to mow the lawns TSC, thanks for the compliments. We are extremely happy with how the house turned out as we have never designed or had to paint a house ever before. We were so scared of what it would look like when it was being built lol Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 371Dec 11, 2012 11:52 pm BradS, can I just say your house is GORGEOUS! I spent all last night reading this thread and devouring all your pictures. I went and had a look at the Eldora at 2 Kate Terrace, Harrington Park a few months back when it was completed and for sale. It is HUGE. Funnily enough we're thinking about buying the block at number 6, two doors down, and have been seriously considering going with Bazdaric. I couldn't build another Eldora in the one street, and besides the block would only fit the smaller design, and I need a big one for my brood. One thing, I especially like about their designs is the high skirting and architraves - and above all else their facades. I'm currently drooling over the Chantel. Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 372Dec 12, 2012 12:02 am Was this the Eldora you looked inside of? http://www.domain.com.au/Property/For-S ... 2009374828 Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 374Feb 20, 2013 8:02 am Well, its been a very long time since i have posted in here as we have been really busy finishing the place off. Still some concrete to go and the garden edging but we are almost there. The Photinia's have really taken off and are looking really nice with about 10cm of fresh red growth. Seasol is a wonder worker!!! Hopefully i will have a hedge sooner than later!!!! We continue to be told we have the nicest lawn in the estate which for someone like me is a massive surprise. I will admit it looks nice but i dont know that its the nicest in the estate just yet The back lawn has finally taken off but still has quite a bit of growing to do to fill in the gaps. Adrian did a great job laying the buffalo but the kikuyu left a bit to be desired. Hopefully the fact we have been getting regular rain will help to sort this out. Spring next year willl see me installing some irrigation as i am sick of moving soaker hoses and then rolling them up. My neighbour is going to help me with that so all should be good Maintenance repairs have been slow. Petar was forced to take some time off late last year due to medical reasons which i was unaware of. I was giving him a pretty hard time given how i felt but he assures me the fact he has employed a second site supervisor will make things work as they should. This i will admit is one of his downfalls and he does know that. Time will tell i guess. House wise we havent got much work to do to get it up to scratch. Unfortunately we pushed to get the keys so we could get into the house. Petar knew it wasnt 110% but wanted us in the house so gave us the keys, this is something he will no longer do as it comes back to bite him. There are a lot of small repairs to be carried out but mostly it is paint repairs. We have had very little movement and inly have 2 repairs to the paint that are in window architraves so i am pretty impressed I will get some pics this weekend and post some up of the finished outside of the house Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 375Feb 25, 2013 7:33 pm good to read you are settle in well Brad........ We are getting close too.. We have had a concrete fully tiled pool installed....its been a slow 4 + months in the making so our back yard is still dirt, though pending some good weather we should see grass down in a week or so? After many painful months of dealing with landscape subbies etc I now realise what a great builder Bazdaric homes are. The quality is 99% ( i am a perfectionist ) and this comes down to Petes experience and his loyalty with good tradesman. Overall I have to say I am happy what Bazdaric homes have done...sure there were some small issues but most importantly they were all dealt with...I wonder if a bigger building company would of given us the same service and care Bazdaric Prestige - Donna Lea V2 Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - 2012 MBA Award Winner 376Feb 28, 2013 7:17 am Thanks Good to hear you to are almost there. Knowing that you arent too far away from being able to sit back and do not a lot is a great feeling isnt it I dont mind mowing the lawns etc but getting it all there was hard work I guess thats a question that will remain unanswered isnt it. I have to be honest i was a little disappointed with Petar but i have been made aware of why we had these feelings towards Bazdaric Homes and i totally understand where Petar is coming from. Some things happen in life that take us by surprise, we just need to make sure we bounce back bigger and stronger than before They are due to come back next week and sort out the outstanding work and repairs so lets see how it all goes. There is no reason why building contract reconciliation cannot be done prior to handover, if the builder won't do it get someone to do it for you. Why would you pay for… 3 6632 |
