Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 282Aug 14, 2012 7:24 pm elly29 Hi everyone, I'm just starting the building process with Petar and getting plans drawn up for a modified Donna-lea. Joe can you give me any tips on what to look for or things you would do differently? (By the way, I love your kitchen). Brad - great design, I have used some of the Eldora design ideas. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Hi Ely I wouldnt do anything differently besides have a 4 car garage as the Donna lea has a 3.5 car space Due to a custom builder you will probably change your mind 100 times on the way though Petar is easy going and wont mind Have fun Bazdaric Prestige - Donna Lea V2 Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 283Aug 14, 2012 7:33 pm thefabs5 nice bath Brad...same as ours. And I see Richard is working hard there Petar said you had the same bath tub. Pretty disappointed it had to be installed so high but i guess tiled the way it is it doesn't look too bad Richard was telling Andrea we should have a driveway poured on Thursday so he mustn't muck around getting them done. The house is going to look so different Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 284Aug 14, 2012 8:00 pm Thanks Brad and Joe for the advice. We are going for a 4 car garage (if we can afford it), which is detached with a covered walkway, as we have 2.5 acres and the block is wide enough to move the garages around to the front. I have made several changes based on the footprint of the Donna-lea but changed the location of bedrooms and kitchen - more like the Eldora in the centre of the house now. Once we get a bit further down the track, I will start a thread. As far as decisions go regarding tiles. colours etc. it never gets any easier. This is my 4th build (1st one over 25 years ago and 3rd only 3 years ago) and making the decisions doesn't get any easier. I made a mistake with the exterior colours of the last house and regretted it, so hope I get this one right! Elly. Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 285Aug 14, 2012 10:57 pm I so love this house. Everything is looking gorgoeus Brad. Kitchen looks so classy cant wait to see it with the glass splashback. Bet your getting excited. Hope all goes smoothly over the next week. Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 286Aug 14, 2012 10:59 pm Brad, that kitchen is going to be beautiful. I have decided it's shaker all the way next time we build. Hi Elly. . . whereabouts are you building? We're in Camden. . .are you local? Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 287Aug 15, 2012 8:57 am Elly, you will be right. About the only thing i could say bad about Bazdaric Homes is the lack of a colour consultant but the build quality makes up for that in a big big way Thanks Charnley. I am sort of getting a little excited now. As i said previously i am very impatient and dont like waitng for anything Any wait normally removes the excitement. I am hoping once we move in i get that feeling though Jodge - shaker profile is one of those doors that will never age. I think you could use it in any style of kitchen and it would look good. You can modernise it with colour and handle choice. Today will have the guys in there decking out our WIR's I am sure the form work for the driveway will continue in readiness for tomorrow. Hopefully the sparky gets in there soon to finish off Its all happening thats for sure and this next week is going to be extremely busy Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 288Aug 15, 2012 7:23 pm Quote: kelbelle, If you want to change something just go back to the tile shop and do it. Our finished product had none of our original selections and I just paid them cash for the feature tiles plus other extras like the silver edging on bath hobs and niches. Quote: Kellbelle, if you don’t like something change it. I am with grumbles, we made all our decisions and had way too much time to contemplate what we really wanted. Probably 80% of our original selections have been changed and I am so glad we did. I know it may cost you a small fee but trust me, if you don’t you will always look at it saying “I wished I had changed that”. You need to live in this house for years to come don’t forget. Don't get me wrong, I still love my tile! But maybe I had seen Brad's tile I would have chosen that And as for wishing my house could be like Brad's - there is no way our budget is stretching that far! Maybe if we ever build again (you know, after we come into some inheritance or something ) Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 292Aug 15, 2012 9:41 pm Hi Jodge, I am building in the Dural area, Petar has built up here before. It's really hard to find a builder up here that doesn't build a double storey box designed to go on a miniscule block, and we wanted something with a bit of a country look. Its taken us a while to find Petar and his beautiful designs. Brad, thanks for the tip about the colour consultant. Has anyone used a colour consultant they would recommend? Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 293Aug 15, 2012 9:47 pm I actually had a heap of help on here from Michelle, her input was awesome. Pretty sure she is in Melbourne but her ideas gave us the direction we needed to get things right I didnt think Petar would build up here.... your not looking for a rental at all are you while he builds as i have a townhouse in Castle Hill if you are I am guessing your a while away from starting yet which is a shame as i could have had a local home to stalk hehe but i am hoping to be out of Castle Hill in a few weeks Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 294Aug 15, 2012 10:58 pm Wow Elly, that is quite a way for Bazdaric to go. I would have thought that they'd have enough work in the Southwest to keep them busy for about e next 50 thousand years. Brad, I think that Michelle is in Nowra. Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - More Kitchen Pics 295Aug 16, 2012 8:23 am Actually i am surprised you found him Elly. I hadnt heard of him until we bought our block of land and was given his name by a neighbour, so glad i foiund that neighbour now as god only knows how many problems we would have had with builder 'R' I stand corrected, thanks jodge. Nowra isnt that far away from The HIlls district when it comes to finding the right person for the job I have just received a photo that shows 80% of our driveway laid Just the nature strip bit left. Its going to look kind of silly as the estate wont let us colour the nature strip bit. Pretty stupid if you ask me. I cant put the pic up as i dont have access to photobucket at work, but will put something up on the weekend Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Driveway Today :o) 296Aug 17, 2012 11:51 am Just having another look at your kitchen and wondering if the cupboards are 2 pac?
