Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Kitchen Awaiting Stone 222Jul 18, 2012 3:33 pm I am just a stress head and freak out about things before i think about them lol Its all going to be good i know that. Bro in law went to the house today and the painters were plugging away at it all. Saturday will tell just how much they got done Hopefully we have the stone in the kitchen and bathrooms as i cant wait to see the kitchen completed. I wonder if they were able to measure up the splashback at the same time or they need to wait to measure it after the stone? I am getting ahead of myself now arent i lol Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Kitchen Awaiting Stone 223Jul 18, 2012 4:25 pm l am also looking forward to seeing your kitchen, sounds similar to mine. l have shaker style door stone bench tops,my splash back was installed last week.Happy that l went with glass S/B and not subway tiles,90% of the time subway tiles are used in the style l have(don't Q me) Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Kitchen Awaiting Stone 225Jul 18, 2012 5:23 pm Brad.......... trust me mate, you are not alone. I am losing sleep over this build. Infact you make me feel normal I am always freaking out or stressing about something but you have to as it is a huge investment ! To be honest I am now at the point where I can not wait until it is completed. It is doing my head in as I am organising landscapers, driveway guy, electricians, plumbers and Pete to get it to hand over.....defect free in 3 weeks Bazdaric Prestige - Donna Lea V2 Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Kitchen Awaiting Stone 227Jul 18, 2012 8:25 pm hoping im not hijacking the thread ( you asked ) but here is some more pics Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ colour of the walls is.............hogs bristle half Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ floors need to be polished Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ the drain pipe is getting a chrome one installed Bazdaric Prestige - Donna Lea V2 Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Kitchen Awaiting Stone 228Jul 18, 2012 8:36 pm I have lost some sleep and we must be exactly the same as i too would like to get anything i don't like sorted before all the trades leave and start on other jobs. I know Petar knows what he is doing but i would have thought fixing things now would be the easy thing to do. I have just seen your kitchen pics on a big screen, work wont show photobucket etc so i had to look at them on my phone. You must have spent an absolute fortune on that kitchen!!!! Does the cabinetry run all around that room or does it stop in the back right hand corner? Such an incredible kitchen, but worth every cent. We didnt even design ours as we feel Col had it right straight off the bat Cant wait to see some more pics of the place Are you saying Eucalyptus oil is the trick to cleaning the glass splashback? I think i recall you saying something about the tape on the front windows previously in this thread so i think you may be referring to that ADDED BIT AS YOU BEAT ME TO IT Your not hijacking my thread at all mate, i think its great to have them all in the one thread. Your house is amazing!!! Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Paint Started :o) 229Jul 18, 2012 10:58 pm Guys- both your homes are JUST STUNNING Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Paint Started :o) 230Jul 19, 2012 9:44 pm Thanks Treeseachanger Monday the kitchen gets stoned and i cant wait Tiler is back this weekend to finish off and painters are still going strong. Unfortunately some little punk seems to have decided to break into the house and take some paint. NOt good to hear but not a major worry. No damage was done and thats the main thing Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Paint Started :o) 231Jul 21, 2012 4:53 pm It's great you're thinking of the positive side Brad - the little s*** could have splashed the paint everywhere rather than take it - I saw this happen to a reno Congratulations to approx. being under the month mark to go you should be able to taste it by now! Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Paint Started :o) 232Jul 21, 2012 10:18 pm That is exactly how i look at it kellbelle. They can take as much stuff as they want, just dont ransack the house Went today and the plumber has been back and fitted some of our mixer taps to the showers, taps have been fitted inside the vanities (still need mixers and stone) painter is going strong. Tilers were back finishing off I walked into the house and was pretty shocked at how much white there was. Everything in the living areas is white and we didnt like it. Upon walking into the bedrooms we loved the Tranquil Retreat so the house is now being painted this colour. We are leaving the skirtings and architraves white still to break it up a little. I think it will look nice and give it that little bit of old school charm The house has been further secured with better locks now which is good to see I have some pics but its bedtime so will post them up tomorrow Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Paint Started :o) 233Jul 22, 2012 7:29 pm A couple of quick pics. Need to sort that out on the weekend. Its good to hear that as it means our stone has been delivered and fitted Bring on Saturday Re: The Eldora by Bazdaric Prestige - Paint Started :o) 238Jul 25, 2012 5:37 pm Can I ask what brand and name your internal doors are? Floors to be sanded and polished starting Monday and then finished !! less a lot of little defects but hopefully they will get sorted Bazdaric Prestige - Donna Lea V2 There is no reason why building contract reconciliation cannot be done prior to handover, if the builder won't do it get someone to do it for you.
