Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 16, 2012 12:59 pm A potential builder has given us a cost estimate of a low price new home from its latest released design series. The reason for its lower cost is the 75mm frame, which otherwise normally is 90mm. Despite being given a 7 years (verbal so far) structural guarantee, I am not sure what effect it may or may not have in the long run, and performance in natural occurrences. Is there any regulation on this? Why the other house designs offer 90mm frame at the first place, and keep the cost high? We will be building a single storey home, NSW Campbelltown Council.
