For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! Re: Vote Please,Soft Closes on Drawers, just outta interests 28Jan 10, 2012 3:05 pm Custom builder here didn't supply them either, but I bought some from a US seller on eBay....can highly recommend their service and price. If a couple of you combine a purchase you'll save on postage, also the seller bundles them in packs of 10. The cost was Au$10 per unit (including postage) but of course, that will vary slightly with the fluctuating Aussie $$$ and they just pop into the existing Blum hinge.
I wouldn't be without them now, they are the next greatest to soft closing toilet seats. Whether it's our cheapest, base model home, or the top of the list, most expensive home. Soft closers on drawers come standard on RBC homes thank you very much! Have been doing installing these for a number of years as standard. Re: Vote Please,Soft Closes on Drawers, just outta interests 33Jan 10, 2012 3:41 pm kerry-ann SB,how much were your drawers then I don't have my costings on my but by memory it was about $2,000 to replace standard cupboards with 3 banks of 3 700mm wide drawers. I really have no idea if this is reasonable or not, compared to the other costs it seemed ok so I haven't looked any further into it. Jay, I looked right thru my addenda and prestart variations yesterday before I answered and could not see any mention of soft closers. These are usually given to clients by the consultants during initial stages. soakedblonde kerry-ann SB,how much were your drawers then I don't have my costings on my but by memory it was about $2,000 to replace standard cupboards with 3 banks of 3 700mm wide drawers. Oh,ok Jay,so these are not the extension rollers then mentioned in the paperwork. Its seems interesting to me anyway that not all these builders mentioned are high end builders, the ones including something as simple as soft closers. Seems some smaller building companys can include this sml extra as well. This may bring me to my next thread ,sorry folks Block bought 1st RBC X! 2nd Ventrua,Keeper!
