Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 161Dec 09, 2012 3:24 pm Hey Frannny not sure if you still come on here and ever check this forum anymore, but I have a question that has been pondering me and I am guessing you would be at this stage. It's regarding the Fencing? I notice a couple houses have got fences and a couple of display homes have fencing. The display homes have the same side gate. I noticed the house on my street didn't get any gate fences when they got their fence up? Do you know when they put your fence up that you can pay extra for gates? Hi AC27, not sure who your fencing contractors are, if it's treacy fencing (they tend to do stockland sites and major developments) we just sent a email requesting a return fence on one side and they quoted of the plans. The last house we built they put in double gates for us, they are very reasonable price wise and will do the work when they do your boundry fences. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 164Dec 27, 2012 12:16 pm Hey AC27, sorry for the late reply, I don't seem to be getting emails notifying me of posts!! Treacy Fencing are the fencing contractors for Whiteman Edge. Return fencing isn't included in the package. When I spoke with them they said they would go and have a look and would let me know how much it would cost for the return fencing- haven't heard from them yet but have been informed that they are starting our fencing the week commencing Jan 7th. Not expecting the return fencing to to cost anything ridiculous, so should be fine. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 170Feb 18, 2013 1:55 pm Hi All, How are the builds coming along. There hasnt been any updates for a while and im extrememly lonely yesterday with the wind it was terrible, sand blowing everywhere. Hopefully houses close by will go up quickly! Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 173Feb 18, 2013 6:14 pm The sand/wind yesterday was insane. All the nice landscaping was getting covered in sand. Our cabinets have all gone in and the tiler has started. Kitchen looks great but overheads are wrong so they're being ripped out and replaced. They're too short, supposed to sit flush with the window but they're way above it and it looks really odd. Park is coming along, kids are excited every time we drive in. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 175Feb 19, 2013 8:18 pm Haha thanks AC27, gotta keep my puppy in, she's quite nosey! Now I know where you live . They moved in Saturday night I think. When do you expect handover? That's exciting busy busy, I have noticed Alfoil up on some windows, possibly trying to keep us nosey neighbours out?! Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 176Feb 19, 2013 8:27 pm Yeah on Sunday when I was trying to get in my house I could here a foreign language coming from inside their house not sure what language it was however. As for handover I am not really sure we have booked our wooden floors to be laid 28th March. So we will probably move in by mid April once carpets are in. But we were told house should be finished by the end of the month. So not sure, when they actually do handover. What type of doggie do ya have. We have a StaffyX. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 177Feb 19, 2013 10:11 pm We had to wait 10 working days after practical completion inspection. So not too long now. They are indian, i have met them once and seem quite nice. Except sunday they had vistors who lined the street, could barely get out We have a toy poodle, and my SIL who is staying with us has a maltese shizu with little dog syndrome. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 178Feb 19, 2013 10:49 pm Haha little dog syndrome! If you happen to see any solar panels on my roof. Please feel free to end my suspense and let me know haha as I think this is the only thing that could delay pci. I think they forgot to book it in and they can't really give me a date. Re: First timers building in Whiteman Edge 180Feb 19, 2013 11:39 pm They are terrifying dogs AC27, one even has a sock! Nice to meet you in a round about way mel89. My wife and I were walking by as you where attempting to save your lawn from the imminent canine shower. After our inspection they had so much to do we thought they were joking when the set the date. It all got done bar one thing which they sorted when they opened for business after the Xmas shutdown. I think they are working to such tight deadlines they do what they can to get it finished in the final push.
