Hey,
I found out my application has been rejected due to the Home Indemnity Form being incomplete and there being no BCITF form.
What is the earliest shire approval can be requested? Does it need to take place after titles are settled?

They've been moving through them fairly quickly - i would just call them and ask if it has been approved as yet. Give them your address and explain the majority of other builders in the area have their approval already so what's the hold up. 14 Dreng Way, Brabham Signed Land Contract - 29/06/2014 Finance Formal approval - 16/09/2014 Prestart - 30/04/2015 Titles - 22/05/2015 Building Permit - 25/05/2015 Land settled - Slab - Bricks - Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2823Jun 23, 2015 5:37 pm Hi Salvi - are you talking about our builders permit through the shire? 14 Dreng Way, Brabham Signed Land Contract - 29/06/2014 Finance Formal approval - 16/09/2014 Prestart - 30/04/2015 Titles - 22/05/2015 Building Permit - 25/05/2015 Land settled - Slab - Bricks - Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2824Jun 23, 2015 5:53 pm Hey Kaylz, I think so. From what I gather the shire approval is the same as builder permits. Sorry we have been passed down to someone else since we started building and the new person has really been terrible at communicating the process or how it all works. I just found out that we settled on the 15th june but our shire application was sent off on the 18th with documents missing and incomplete. I have questioned our builders because I feel they are very vague with me. 22 Dreng Way, Brabham Land-25 May 2013 House-May 2013 Finance Formal approval -Feb 2015 Prestart -21 Mar 2015 Titles -22 May 2015 Land settled -15 June 2015 Slab - 9 July 2015 Bricks - 7 July 2015 Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2825Jun 23, 2015 6:15 pm Salvi we had the same thing about 4 weeks ago ours came back with something missing on the forms and our builder corrected it and the permit took about 5 days to get approval but it all depends how busy they are now. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2826Jun 24, 2015 10:56 am Thanks for everyone's response. They have re submitted the forms now after I questioned and called the Shire. It's just frustrating that they only sent the application in 3 days AFTER we got settlement. They are clearly in no rush. 22 Dreng Way, Brabham Land-25 May 2013 House-May 2013 Finance Formal approval -Feb 2015 Prestart -21 Mar 2015 Titles -22 May 2015 Land settled -15 June 2015 Slab - 9 July 2015 Bricks - 7 July 2015 Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2828Jun 24, 2015 11:59 am I'm building with Dreamstart. The first person we were dealing with was fantastic but during the time of waiting two years he was promoted to management so we were passed on to someone else which has sort of disconnected us all. 22 Dreng Way, Brabham Land-25 May 2013 House-May 2013 Finance Formal approval -Feb 2015 Prestart -21 Mar 2015 Titles -22 May 2015 Land settled -15 June 2015 Slab - 9 July 2015 Bricks - 7 July 2015 Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2831Jun 24, 2015 10:07 pm That's Great Elly and Salvi you have to keep pushing them no doubt you'll be there soon! Did everyone receive a front landscaping and fencing letter from Terranovis in the mail today? Basically we have to finish building within 18 months of settlement and contact them once the house is done so that they can organise the landscaping to be done but only once building has finished. We have to make sure the builder includes a conduit under the driveway for reticulation and an external tap at the front of the house also for this purpose (both of which we have done). It also states that this could be done up to six months after dwelling completion. Let's hope they get into it pretty quickly afterwards, it would be so annoying waiting ages for fencing and front landscaping like we did for titles! Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2834Jun 24, 2015 11:59 pm You do have a choice in what you want to put in but have to use there contractor and you cant get the money I am pretty sure but you can ask but I think they will say no. We have most of the front landscaping planned out already and have got all the plants and things for the front now cause we get 3500 from terranovis which from what I have found out doesn't get you much as far as landscaping contractors go its the bare basics. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2835Jun 25, 2015 12:06 am It's part of the estate contract rules to include front landscaping for all lots, so I don't think you can actually get the money instead Elly but you can select the look (to a very limited extent). Yes, they allow $3,500 for front landscaping and $4,500 for corner blocks. We have a corner block. I wonder which contractor they use? We haven't even considered any designs yet! BradTam you are well organised! Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2836Jun 25, 2015 12:44 am I just wanted paved at the front and a planter box across the front my boyfriend has a lot of family so grass wouldn't work... We were just going to get the paver doing our driveway to do the crossover and continue on the front but if we loose the free landscaping that would suck :/ Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2837Jun 25, 2015 12:44 am I just wanted paved at the front and a planter box across the front my boyfriend has a lot of family so grass wouldn't work... Exciting it finally happened. Our builder has said It will take them about 10-12 weeks for them to sort paperwork stuff out then pretty much we should have slab organised or a date by then for that. Went down to the development yesterday someones block (320) is already starting to move along, looks like prep for pad, which is exciting to finally start seeing something happen. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2839Jun 26, 2015 4:15 pm We got our letter from terranovis about fencing and landscaping aswell. I would rather take the money to do it ourselves. Maybe no huge trees just grass im thinking and fancy it up later Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond. We considered Henley early on but there were two factors that… 1 11034 1 11095 1 4752 |
