Thank you, great help. I will call the landscaper tomorrow and have a chat about it with him again.
Will all look great if very similar.
Thanks again

Thanks again Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3103Feb 02, 2016 11:11 pm That's great, We should get keys week after next, then need to do our own painting and tiling then we can move in. So should be in similar time if lucky. Cannot wait!! Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3105Feb 16, 2016 10:16 am Hi All, We have keys! When we went out for a look on the weekend there was a snake in the living area. So keep your eyes peeled! It was just a baby but that means there are more and a mum somewhere (hopefully not in our roof). Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3106Feb 16, 2016 10:30 am We are going for buffalo lawn, reticulation and a small hedge out the front and standard mulch down the side. Very very basic and still out of pocket over $500.00. The voucher really didn't cover very much. This does include any curbing or plant boxes what so ever. What is everyone doing about levelling the sand, as the landscaper doesn't do this either? Thanks Jamie Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3107Feb 22, 2016 11:41 am Hi Everyone, so exciting to hear everyone is moving in. We have PCI booked for 4th March - just wondering how long it normally takes from there? We are hoping to get the keys before the long weekend so we can do stuff to the house that weekend. Is that realistic? That is 15 working days/ The builders have said about 25 working days but i am hoping they are giving worse case scenario. Thanks, Rosa Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3110Feb 22, 2016 11:47 am Bank did the valuation on the Friday and payment was made I think by the Wednesday and we picked up keys same day. We bank with Nab who is the same bank as our builder so that helped. Add another day or so on for other banks. We havnt moved in just yet. We have a fair bit to do before we can, tiling painting etc cannot wait though!! Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3111Feb 22, 2016 11:49 am oh wow so fingers crossed we will get the keys before the Easter break - we want to paint etc. Just out of curiosity what you planning to do with your bank garden? We can't decide between paving/decking/lawn! Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3112Feb 22, 2016 11:51 am Back? I want to do decking and some fake grass. Easy to maintain... We should get quotes at the same time! Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3114Feb 22, 2016 11:55 am Great. I actually have two contacts already for decking. And we are just doing planter boxes around the outside and a bit of fake grass. Then we need to pic something for down the sides. But that can be done later on. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3116Feb 22, 2016 12:00 pm Nope, we got a painter. We have no idea how to paint a house!! And I wanted it done really quickly. If you need a painter let me know! Ours is starting today. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 3117Feb 22, 2016 12:04 pm Oh Exciting. Our PCI inspection is this Friday! We'll be taking an Independent Master Builders Inspector with. From what I understand it's hard to put an exact time I think it really depends on the repairs that are required. Some builders will have less items to repair and some will have a bunch of things. I think contractually they are allowed 10 working days after the inspection to handover to allow for repairs and as a buffer until final payment clears. We used Brad Carter Landscaping for our back yard and it was part of our building contract. We just chose lawn, a simple garden bed along the fence perimeter and gravel with steppers down the sides.. Hopefully low maintenence!! Better than sand that's for sure. Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond. We considered Henley early on but there were two factors that… 1 10514 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13103 1 11009 |
