Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2963Aug 17, 2015 5:30 pm Hey all! It's been a while. I hope everything's going smoothly for everyone. There's a few houses going up rapidly and a few slabs laid/being laid. We only go out once a week on the weekend to take progress pictures of our build and it's always a good surprise seeing how much has been done. There seems to be no progress happening with the park/ open public space which is not giving me much hope! Has anyone heard anything? Also please respond again with your lot numbers again!! it's tough trying to remember whose where! Then I'm going to try put together a map of the Estate showing names on each lot.I'll be sure to post it up when I'm done. Look forward to hearing from everyone!! Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2964Aug 17, 2015 6:58 pm I go out there way too often I live with my parents near Curtin uni my boyfriend lives in forest field and I work North the river in hocking!! I'm the last street in the area palfrey street lot 365 but the new map has it as 363 I think?? Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2965Aug 17, 2015 7:00 pm Also i was wondering what everyone is doing about their fences? They said to do it after the build but I would rather have the fence up in November as our builder said they will have us in my Xmas I don't want to wait until after Xmas break for the workers to put the fence up.. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2967Aug 18, 2015 10:44 am Hi Elly, Have Terranovis sent you a fencing voucher? For 3A, we were told to send it in 2 weeks before your house is due to be completed. I sent it in about a month before, and the fencing was completed one week before i got the keys. Not sure if they're using the same contractor or not; I'd asked for a quote on a gate and they never got back to me. Also bear in mind that the fencing is perimeter only, it doesn't include fencing between the boundary and your house (for example, to close in your back yard). Unless of course the developer is feeling generous these days and includes it. Plenty of places you can get supplies for it though and do it cheaply enough; I bought a gate and some fencing from Aussie Fencing in Osborne Park. I think they can install too. Congratulations Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2973Aug 25, 2015 12:16 pm Is anyone else building with Aussie Living? And have any ideas on how long each of these stages takes? Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2974Aug 26, 2015 12:10 am We had slab down and walls up in 5 weeks from slab down and watching the 2 other homes that have roof timbers up that only took about 3 to 4 days. Thats as far as I know but it all depends on your how good your site supervisor is. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2975Aug 26, 2015 12:13 am Salvi Congratulations RossMac!! Let us know how your meeting goes with clint and what you think so far of it all Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2976Aug 26, 2015 10:45 am Hey Bradtam, We met with Clint today and he is really nice. He did a walk through and explained to us the way the pipes and stuff go (we asked about our tap for the fridge). He also said we can have as many meetings as we want with him and just to set it up with our building company. We also asked if we could possibly paint our rooms with carpets before the carpets go in...and he said he has organised it before for other clients before. So we will get a week end to paint all the rooms. Very accommodating!! 22 Dreng Way, Brabham Land-25 May 2013 House-May 2013 Finance Formal approval -Feb 2015 Prestart -21 Mar 2015 Titles -22 May 2015 Land settled -15 June 2015 Slab - 9 July 2015 Bricks - 7 July 2015 Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2977Aug 26, 2015 12:24 pm hey there jamie.headley. I am your neighbour, saw your block on Sunday and we are building with ALH. I am hoping because there are two of us together it will speed it up and now we can check in and see how each other are going... are you building a thompson bay? looked similar to ours and that is what we are building. Re: Avonlee Henley Brook Perth 2978Aug 26, 2015 12:27 pm Hi ro88, We are building the Independence Promo with ALH. This will be a great way to check in!! Are you dealing with Belinda? And have you had any meetings since pre start with the builder or constructions supervisor? We haven't yet. Hi, If you give a set of criteria as to what means 'good' to you, it'll give others prompts to respond. We considered Henley early on but there were two factors that… 1 10529 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13105 1 11011 |
