Oh T, I wish it was finished as well. Because of the rain delay they had to go off on another job for a couple of days. We didn't mind too much because it was nice to have a couple of days without work going on around the house. But it has taken longer than we expected, even though it's not a huge area. Dealing with all the changes of levels has been the main challenge. But we're delighted with how it's looking so far and very hopeful that it will be finished this week. Then I promise, photos of our nearly instant garden. Our building thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53911 Re: Our Sea-change Adventure - Garden Photos 293Aug 02, 2012 7:51 pm Thanks everyone , but please, I don't really deserve much credit for this, although I did have a lot of input into the design and chose most of the plants. Oh, also, I did shovel lots of stuff into wheelbarrows and do some general labour ing to help out. They did let me plant a few things under supervision and of course I'm in charge of watering now ( so much responsibility!) Yes, Rocketship, it is amazing that all this has happened so quickly. However money does make a difference and we knew the only way we would ever get it done was to pay someone - we're really not up to the heavy work that so many others take on after they move in. So I was very careful to keep a chunk of budget for the landscaping, foregoing a few internals upgrades in the process. Kiwi,we have a very uncomfortable click-clack as our spare bed, or there's some nice springy turf to sleep on - your choice Nina, reading about all the turmoil that you and T and Gogo and many others have been through makes me realize just how lucky we have been with our build and what a great builder we chose. In fact even for the landscaping we decided to contract with the people our builder uses for all their show homes on the Sunny Coast. Unless it is sweaty and humid, then outside under a mozzie net will do me. We haven't had a h1 gold coast meet up.....yet. Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35326 5 10476 2 2964 |
