Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 18, 2011 8:25 am I've had an over the phone quote for the installation of a Hills antenna of "a bit over $500". This includes an amplifier and connection to 4 TV points. Does this sound reasonable? Re: Antenna Instalation Cost 3Dec 18, 2011 10:25 am We too are in melb and paid $250 for a hd digital antenna, that can be connected to 4 points with no amplifier. We only have 2 points. I say shop around. NO EXPECTATIONS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS! I'll make some more calls. Re: Antenna Instalation Cost 5Dec 18, 2011 11:33 pm $300 for the antenna is good. We have been quoted between 310 to 450 for antenna and then an extra 140 to 150 for amp. To get it all plus 4 points for 500 is great. Can you pm me the details of your antenna man. Phoned 3 or 4 installers and quotes ranged from $300 to almost $600 for exactly the same thing...a neighbour recommended the $300 bloke who had done his a couple of weeks prior. Very satisfied with the work, he had to be 'the' best tradie I've had working here...neat, tidy, polite, pleasant, no problems with his work. Sparky had run coax to 4 points so it was just a matter of connecting and erecting the antenna. Pays to shop around!! Re: Antenna Instalation Cost 10Jan 22, 2012 8:21 am I ended up going with Melbourne TV Antennas company, they quoted over the phone, and came and installed my parent's new antenna, pole, splitter and two points in their home for $390. My mother said that they were only there for about 1 1/2 hours. She said that they were very efficent. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Brilliant - thanks so much for that.
