So we are looking at building and will probably buy an old house to be knocked down, on 700-800square metres.
Is there anything special we should look for in the block or look to avoid? Is it worth getting a soil test done before putting an offer in? How much do they cost? I don't know where to start!
We don't have any plans or a builder or anything yet. Do we really even need to get a block first or should we be looking at builders too at the same time? The issue is we will need to build as quick as possible when getting a block as we can't afford the delay for longer than is necessary.
