Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 15, 2011 8:06 pm Hi all-well, I've taken the plunge & signed with Blueprint Homes over Aussie Living & Easy Living/Gen1. Easy was the cheapest & gave me everything on my wish list, Aussie was the dearest with the promise of quality work but I opted for Blueprint mainly because of their design which gave me the biggest backyard (great for the grandkids) & the rapport I built up with David Godfrey. Plus they came to the party with some "freebies". Slab won't go down till the new year, but will keep you posted. Cheers. Re: Blueprint Homes 3Dec 16, 2011 7:18 pm My new house will be built on my existing block in Girrawheen-my previous place was demolished. Have a reasonably good size block approx 487 sqm but narrow frontage, so it was a real challenge to find a suitable design. Fortunatley, David from Blueprint was up to the challenge! Re: Blueprint Homes 4Sep 14, 2012 10:29 pm Hi galahguy, Just wondering how your experience with blueprint went? My partner and I are quite... green... in regards to all of this but have agreed that we like blueprints designs etc better than most others in our budget. Hope it all went well for you. Re: Blueprint Homes 5Dec 05, 2012 9:10 pm Hi galahguy I've recently signed with blueprint and found them to be great. Not pushy and very accommodating. How have you found the construction? I've driven around a few estates that are under construction by blueprint and found them to be quite quick? I gave a 22week guaranteed build and looking at the progress of other houses in the area, I might be in before I know it. Hope to see some pics of your build. Re: Blueprint Homes 6Jan 02, 2013 7:49 pm I talked to a Blueprint rep today and was quite pleased with how it went. I was given a 20-22 week build window, but the lead up to that will be about 6 months (paperwork, financing, council approval) So basically about 10-11 months before we have a home. Is that about right? Is that normal for builders? What are people's experiences with Blueprint? Tash, first homebuyer Re: Blueprint Homes 7Jan 02, 2013 10:10 pm Hi Austex, 10 to 12 months would be excellent. Don't have personal experience with Blueprint but friend built with them 2 yrs ago and is very happy. Good luck all. Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74715 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending. All their existing trades and businesses don't work with… 14 105587 |
