Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Moved in Pics 261Aug 06, 2012 4:34 pm Length - 4.9 Width - 3.6 I went for a electric screen due to the following reasons: (Size 112 inch) 1. I have a huge Led TV behind the Projector Screen 2. Projector folded up helps it safe from little hands (Kids) 3. Also it is quick to turn on a TV rather than the projector if you want watch something quick. I'm trying to get an idea of what kind of size room I'll be working with. Yes you see the dimensions on a plan, but it's really hard to visualise it - your photo has really helped. How far are you sitting back from the screen? My room is similar to yours but with opposite dimensions. Length - 4.1 Width - 5.2 Haven't gone with a projector because of the estimated seating distance to the screen. Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Moved in Pics 265Aug 06, 2012 7:26 pm Hubby just seen your pic and asked if I was planning on doing something like this at our house! Tell him hes dreamin! Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Moved in Pics 266Aug 06, 2012 7:38 pm We'd have to sell a kidney Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Moved in Pics 268Aug 07, 2012 9:06 am Thanks Guys, put a lot of planning to squeeze on the dollars and plaster cuts (Double Storey - wiring gets harder) @ atom_ute - The Theatre lounge is right at the back against the wall, therefore will be around 4.4 to 4.6 from the screen. Sharp has the largest LCD tv (70inch) however the panel is not so clear, maybe you can put a 90 to 95 inch screen? Also the Theatre couch I got my favourite Harvey Norman "Hustler", Kids love it you can fall asleep (Will post a pic tomorrow of it) @dazandstace - You are Welcome to join to watch the Magpies win the Grand Final @Nayzv - I have been shopping online and found a few wholesale guys who sell these stuff for a fraction of the cost when compared to few Home Cinema Retailers. (It is not as expensive if you slowly build your system) Maybe your hubbies dream will become reality @gremlin - Every night is a movie night, You can swing past if you come to Melbourne West @stage15 dahlia - Next time I will take one without the socks lol Orchid 4200 with Burbank: Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53034 House Built in 7 Months and 2 weeks Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Moved in Pics 269Aug 07, 2012 9:57 am doublej2500 @dazandstace - You are Welcome to join to watch the Magpies win the Grand Final HOT PIES!!!! Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Moved in Pics 270Aug 08, 2012 11:40 am Cheers for that doublej - Because of my room layout I can't put a couch right against the back wall, so I'll be about 3.5m from the screen. I was looking at the Sharp 70" quatron that you have - but yeah wasn't that impressed with the PQ. I think I will stick with the 65" Panasonic plasma based on the distance and the use (movies and gaming). doublej2500 @dazandstace - You are Welcome to join to watch the Magpies win the Grand Final Ahhh you're one of those people Won't hold it against you... but I'll leave you with this.. Sharp are planning to release couple of new big LEDs (70 <) which comes with 3D support and a better Panel closer to Christmas. I Looked at your thread and your house plan - Can the storage in the media room be converted to sliding door? that way you can push your couch to the back? Will be a while before we get another flag I think. Not to worry, my other favourite team the Crows are doing ok. Had considered your suggestion - but couldn't get it to work. Will have to keep an eye out for those Sharp tv's you mentioned. Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Moved in / Deck PICs 273Aug 14, 2012 10:33 am As promised I was able to click a few pics...
