Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Handover 14/6/2012 209Jun 07, 2012 8:51 pm congrats on getting closer to your move in and your house looks awesomeeee good move on sealing the grout we are going to do same as we recently visited a friends house and theirs looked really dirty only after a few months. We are also having brick infills above all windows and doors you would think leaving them silver would be rather poor form .....make them pay .....ooops i mean paint!! = lol. Once again congrats and look forward to yuor successful move. Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Handover 14/6/2012 210Jun 07, 2012 8:58 pm Thanks guys Took a peak at the house today, the family room wall has been ripped and fixed . SS agreed to paint the Lintels above the feature bricks.not the whole house though. I am ok with it for now. The entry was bothering me. Driveway will not be poured till Tuesday. Hope some good weather next week will help it dry quick. I plan to spread some crushed rock tomorrow with a huge sign requesting all tradies to use the back door hope it will work . (it will take few days for the driveway to dry ) Got the following couch from for upstairs sitting http://www.harveynorman.com.au/hustler- ... ounge.html Orchid 4200 with Burbank: Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53034 House Built in 7 Months and 2 weeks Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Handover 14/6/2012 212Jun 10, 2012 10:52 pm Ooh nice! I sat on the one seater it's comfy as! Can't wait for your driveway to be laid! How did you get permission to do stuff around your house before handover? Did you just ask your SS? Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Handover 14/6/2012 213Jun 10, 2012 11:07 pm Yea I did ask the SS, Burbank took the temporary fence few weeks ago, therefore I was able to do these things which will mean one less thing to do after handover. I have been working around the house the past 2 weekends, the SS knows I need to do these things before my fence goes up, therefore has been flexible. We had our eyes on the this couch for a while and finally committed to it. The Soil company dumped the crushed rock in my neighbors vacant land, therefore I had to bring it in before the fence goes up. Also I needed to create an altenate path for tradies to finish of my house, therefore they do not ruin the driveway before it is cured/ sealed. Plus few of the PCI items ticked off. (Tradies in and out) The Supervisor was working late - Met him onsite at 6 p.m he gave me the heads up that we are on track for Thursday handover. After the SS left I went for a wonder around the house and noticed a strong Gas smell comming from the Hot water system. (Will let the SS know first thing in the morning) Driveway was pressure washed this morning and really happy with how it turned out (Will be sealed tomorrow - I placed some old carpets so the tradies do not stain it with Mud) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Orchid 4200 with Burbank: Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53034 House Built in 7 Months and 2 weeks Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Driveway Pictures 216Jun 12, 2012 8:32 pm Driveway looks great! I know we should. But we will wait to see if they fix it first. SS may already know about it? It would be obvious to anyone walking in. Maybe we could sneek in and put some of your red dots around the place to give them the hint Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Driveway Pictures 219Jun 12, 2012 8:46 pm Ok...give him the benefit of the doubt, The colour of the dot used during my PCI was Blue Looking forward to knock off work early tomorrow and 2 weeks of Annual Leave to move / Fix (Turn the house to home) ***SS mentioned cleaners will be onsite tomorrow night. I am hoping to meet them and give a tip, therefore they do a proper clean not just a cheap builder's clean (Saves me moping the floor before I seal the grout) Orchid 4200 with Burbank: Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53034 House Built in 7 Months and 2 weeks Re: Building Orchid 4200 with Burbank- Driveway Pictures 220Jun 12, 2012 8:53 pm doublej2500 Ok...give him the benefit of the doubt, The colour of the dot used during my PCI was Blue Bahaha Quote: Looking forward to knock off work early tomorrow and 2 weeks of Annual Leave to move.
