Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 09, 2011 12:20 pm Hi I am inclined to buy a house in Melbourne which is facing a creek ( no other houses in front) , the house price is marginally low as compare to other similar houses in that suburb , agent says owner wants to sell quickly. I don't have much knowledge about housing different aspects , therefore wondering if there is any pitfalls of buying creek close house may be thats the reason the price is slightly low. most importantly my concern is "from building or construction perspective is there any downside of "creek close" houses " ???? thanks Re: House Near Creek 2Dec 09, 2011 3:44 pm is it a new house? We were looking at an estate in Hampton park, it was near a stormwater run off and near a disused tip, $25k cheaper than other smaller blocks in the area..
