Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 01, 2011 7:58 pm Hi, i see there are a few have/are building with SPH, could u tell me what there basic inclusions are like. We are actually looking at The Promenade atm. Is there anything that u would def upgrade? tia Re: Scott Park Homes Inclusions 3Dec 07, 2011 12:54 am daveandally1 What do you mean by basic inclusions? -Ally I guess she means "Standard Inclusions" quality... Re: Scott Park Homes Inclusions 4Dec 07, 2011 1:30 pm Basic/Standard inclusion = As cheap as the builder can get. No matter who the builder is if the y have a list of standard inclusions, you can bet they are cheap. We are supplying our own appliances. carpet, floor tiles, heating/cooling, and a few other things. But we aren't with SPH. I think carpets are a must to upgrade as the entry level stuff is just putrid. We had planned on only upgrading the underlay but the builders range was sh1te. I think if you focus on the ones below you'll add enough to the cost to max you out: Carpet Kitchen cupboards to pot drawers upgrade tiles double glazing throughout air con upgrade/add on add extra power points appliances in kitchen Re: Scott Park Homes Inclusions 5Dec 07, 2011 11:27 pm Upgrade the oven and stovetop. Chef, in my past experience, are terrible. Upgrade to Westinghouse. SPH don't provide a lot, but when they do, it costs a bucketload. For example, we are doing our own flooring, air con, and extra cabinetry later down the track (as SPH will charge you roughly $603 PER LINEAR METRE to get more cupboards)...and don't even get me started on the cost of the oven stacker... -Ally Re: Scott Park Homes Inclusions 6Dec 09, 2011 1:27 am Pretty sure SPH have Westinghouse as their standard, but you can always upgrade to the larger stove with more burners, larger oven and a rangehood. There is also a timber finishing touch package...we were quoted $5k, includes carpet to all bedrooms and timber laminate (not vinyl!) to living areas. There isn't a huge price difference to upgrade from the builders standard range with the carpet, so it's well worth it, because the builder's range leaves a lot to be desired It's finally happening! Follow our build with Homegroup WA viewtopic.php?f=31&t=55324&p=987698#p987698 Thanks. There are plenty of builders around my suburb. I'll make sure to do some door-to-door knocking, or note their building details on the temp fence. 4 4747 Ask for references and speak to them.
