Now, I got a pretty good quote along with discount that I am very happy with, and am of course keen to lock in selections and have some certainty about what is going into my house and that I won't have delays etc. The only thing, is (and I know it is normal standard practice) but they have stated I need to put down a 1/3 deposit now for them to order the stock and keep it on site until build is complete in order to hold the full supply, install and prep etc at the quoted amount. The deposit would be approx. $3500. I am also keen to make sure i can get the floor (As I love it) and would hate for them to discontinue it. My question is, is it worth going the road of ordering/holding etc 6 to 7 months in advance of anticipated installation or is it too much of a risk in case the store closes or goes under? The supplier is well known and well established, but many an established company has faced this issue before. Anyone done this before or have any input? BTW: Here is the floor again in case you wanted to see it http://www.karndean.com.au/site/product ... ct_ID=1691 Cheers, Ness.
