Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 04, 2011 6:02 pm Just find out that builder has installed toilet which is not what I picked. Emailed builder, they emailed back with a letter from their supplier stating that the toilet I picked is no long available, so they substitute it with something very similar, but not quite the same. Personally I don't mind the look of the toilet, just like the original, it's soft closing, almost the same shape but that where similarities end. The toilet I originally picked has the inlet concealed in the cistern, so no ugly inlet pipe visible. The new toilet has the bottom inlet meaning there is a pipe visible right next to the pan. The flushing mechanism is also different, the original one is German, the new one? (God knows) I paid thousands for the original toilets. When I questions them why the variation without my consent, they said they don't need my consent because it's simply a newer model replacing the obsoleted. Can they do that?
