Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 03, 2011 8:54 am Hey all.
We have our tile meeting soon, and we are wondering exactly what the purpose of this meeting is. We have already specified the style, size and layout of tiles during the planning phase. Just wondering what is dealt with during this meeting, and what your experiences were. I'm also very nervous about the builder doing a good job on the waterproof membranes in the wet areas - is this done by a tiler or just by whoever the builder can find on the day? Thanks in advance, A. Re: What happened at your "tile meeting"? 2Nov 03, 2011 9:18 am Hello, I had a tile meeting and all i can say is that it mostly was too make out they are the right tiles and too just talk about anything you may want too talk about with getting your tiles the way you want them. In my case lucky we did have a meeting as my ties were all WRONG that were at the job,if the SS didnt ring and ask me too come too site the wrong tiles would have been tiled... Dont get too worried having a tile meeting it really isnt much.... Re: What happened at your "tile meeting"? 4Nov 03, 2011 9:47 am Our waterproof was done by Wetside Sealants. But when the tiles had to be re done around the bath hob, the handyman did it. Now Wetside Sealants are coming back to do it properly. I think a tile meeting is a great idea, we didn't have one. Unfortunately we're a couple of thousand km from westside sealants , but that's interesting that a professional had to be called back in. I think we might get a professional inspector to look at the membranes before the tiles go down.. Cheers, A. Looking for advice on whether this variation in tile colour is acceptable.
