Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 02, 2011 8:35 am Hi All, We will be submitting our DA plans hopefully next week but we know that our garage does not meet council requirements. As a new dwelling (unlike a reno) we are required to have to garage atleast 1m behind the front living area. Our garage is currently 600mm past the living area, not a big deal but council could reject. Has anyone ever added a request letter to the DA to approve your plans and has it been sucessful?
