I would not say per square is an accurate measure, my builder had to sit down and calculate the kitchen/bathroom/garage areas et cetera before providing a real quote However when I was at the HIA home ideas show, I approached multiple builders and two quoted 10K per square, and the others 15K or more per square. So it does give you an idea of how much builders vary, the 15K builders were boutique / luxury builders. The poll completely ignores the inclusions, however it was triggered by the valuers advising I could have built for $8300/square.
