I think you have managed to put together my alternative! If I hadn't gone light all over (due to my obsession with trying to find any small way of reflecting the heat, so I don't have to install air con! Hahahahahahaha!) I would have loved your elevation!! I love the bricks, the roof and everything! I wasn't sure about a light coloured roof with red bricks as I'm not sure I've seen it before, but it's BEAUTIFUL!! And the splash-back is lovely too! Would love to see it in real life as it looks like one of those types of splash backs that you can't really fully appreciate until you've seen it for yourself! I am so jealous! That is an EXCELLENT colour. Sorry about the dent in the door, it probably was from the wind Perth has really been battered by storms in the last 48 hours, it's horrible! I barely slept at all last night from wind and banging and whistling and UGH. I'm sure there won't be any issues with getting it fixed. Not your fault! I'm thinking that it may have even been from the install so hopefully its already getting fixed! Would not be surprised! chuffy Jen it's looking fabulous!!! Love your elevation and the splash back is divine. Well done. You'll be in before you know it ! zircon The house is looking gorgeous! I think I like the way yours looks better than I liked the display Wisteria. caz_770 Oh my goodness!!! I know everyone says this but, I LOVE YOUR ELEVATION!! We have the same splash back and it's gorgeous. Thankyou all! We are so pleased! Zircon - I actually hated the display colours, very cream and white. We have a wisteria up the road too, and they have cream brick with blue door, and roof and accents.... the cream bricks are very yellowy not even like the nice limestone colour! So it was lucky I really wanted the red! Tinkster - i think your splashback may have inspired this one!! I think i saw it on your thread!! Thankyou! Caz - I am worried about the use of the aircon we have put in - the unit is MASSIVE!.... we just met with a patio guy, and are getting an insulated patio (solarspan) along the length of the living area. This should help with the heat plus we have viridian smart glass in the windows we hopefully will not have to crank the air con much! They have finished fitting the master robe and laundry linen doors And as the skirting tile was in the way they took them off! (I suspected this was holding up the install...) And they have done the first stain of the front door! I also received my garage lights in the mail yesterday I got them for $20 each with $10 shipping... they are now $34 each! they also sent me the wrong sort and let me keep them and sent the correct ones! So if anyone is after a couple of outdoor lights let me know as i'm probably going to put them out for verge collection! These are the wrong ones Big difference!!!!!!!! I love your splashback too, how good are WA Glasskote! I was there when they did the install and it just slid in, perfect fit. Now I really want a laser measure Re: Building with HomegroupWA in Success - Splashback is in! 812Dec 04, 2012 4:29 pm Leighlou Wow Jen it is all looking amazing. Like everyone has said, the colours are really great. Very classic. I love your splashback too, how good are WA Glasskote! I was there when they did the install and it just slid in, perfect fit. Now I really want a laser measure Thankyou!! My partner ordered a laser measure from deal extreme for $100. It's identical to one we saw at bunnings that was $200 And we have used it so much! Measured up for all the blinds and plantation shutters and furniture! Re: Building with HomegroupWA in Success - AIRCON! 813Dec 04, 2012 4:37 pm Looking fantastic! Love it all!! Re: switch covers, DP and I were out at our place yesterday, having a bit of a wander around whilst the plumber was there - W came past on his rounds and we asked why our switch plates were white, when we had asked for the brushed chrome look. He said that they all get replaced with the 'proper' ones towards the end...so I think that's what has happened, particularly if you are getting the silver covers. Count down is on for PCI...get through Xmas and NY, and you're pretty much there! It's finally happening! For works first week back next year. So pci must be about then. Screens should go after house is cleaned. Yay yay yay!! That explains the switches! I wanted silver but Daniel wanted white so he won. I go to the house every day and have only seen W for the scheduled meetings! And only seen 2 trades. They must finish super early! I never in a million years thought i would get to build and especially such a nice house! That's exactly the feeling!! it's hard to explain but you got it in one. It's just so surreal sometimes! Omg you only have a xmas/NYE break separating you from PCI/moving in! Woooo! Re: Building with HomegroupWA in Success - Splashback is in! 819Dec 06, 2012 9:20 pm So quick update.... We have decided to go a plain flat patio, 4.1m x 11m! all along the side of the house. Have forgone the solar span, as at $5500 its half the price to have normal patio! Which has freed up money for new fridge, tv and wardrobe inserts (Thanks to Leighlou's awesome recommendation!) We have also locked in grass... we got 244m2 of RRP $103 p/m (25k!!) grass for just over $17k (massive discounts) including a weedmat and compacting the front for driving!!!! Very pleased! But... our CLO has retired and in the email we got today from the new one, she says she will contact us in the new year for PCI.... which is either not much notice or puts handover back a bit We still have no sink And they left the aircon on for 2 days!!!! our power meter is at 84 units!!!! So a bit down about it... stupid christmas.... Good news though - my mum lives in Bremer Bay where they had fires this week and they are now under control... so its not all bad!
