Browse Forums Building A New House Re: On the Starting Blocks!!!! PHOTOS of my FRAME! Updated 13/03 5Feb 07, 2008 11:23 am Excellent, I bet you're happy about that. I don't think we'll have cut land today, we had a little flooding near the land yesterday. I'll be happy with the weekend start. Good timing, we can compare experiences with Adenbrook. It'll be handy for people looking into building with them. Re: On the Starting Blocks!!!! PHOTOS of my FRAME! Updated 13/03 6Feb 21, 2008 11:03 am Well everyone, we're now well and truely on the way... Our land has been cleared, the plumbing has been put in, and theres an electricity box up... It's really quite exciting knowing that we'll be living there in a few months... We had our all weather access material turn up the other day which was a surprise, we thought we had to arrange that. So that was coooool! I'll post some pics soon. NEW PICS! 7Mar 05, 2008 12:50 pm Hey All,

How good would that be..although I drink vodka - maybe not a good idea to drink a slab of that in one sitting Paula Re: On the Starting Blocks!!!! PHOTOS of my FRAME! Did they include the air con/hot water/water tank area as part of the slab? I saw a few sites where the builder only use a thin concrete board for those areas, and it wouldn't be as strong as a proper slab that's part of the house. Suggest to leave it dry for a week or so, then pick a sunny weekend, check every section very carefully for sign of cracks. I bet you won't find any, but it's better be safe than sorry. And should there's be any problem, it's much easier to fix it in early stages then after the frames/bricks on. Re: On the Starting Blocks!!!! PHOTOS of my FRAME! Updated 13/03 13Mar 06, 2008 10:57 am Great Ideas.. Thanks for that...
Yes they did include areas like that... They even put one down for the gas bottles which is cool. I'd forgotten about that one! I will certainly check the slab after a few days, thats an excellent idea... It might be a bias view, but man, our slab looks so good... I've seen some others that are quite untidy, but this once looks great! Re: On the Starting Blocks!!!! PHOTOS of my FRAME! Updated 13/03 14Mar 08, 2008 8:25 pm That's good!
When your frames are up, make sure you check if any part of the frames over hangs the edge of the slab. I remember seeing someone have similar issue somewhere. Try to browse through as many posts in this forum as possible, you will pick up lots of things from others! Re: On the Starting Blocks!!!! PHOTOS of my FRAME!
