It is unfortunate with the holidays and a lot of people take extended leave. I hope things will pickup as soon as slab goes. Actually, I think you've got that a little back-to-front. What they need, is to do the builds, because all they definitely care about, is the money. If that money stopped coming in, they'd down tools and walk away pretty quick smart, believe you me. Sarah and Andy, hope things pick up for you guys soon. Many of us have felt the frustration that you're currently feeling at some point during our builds, and unfortunately, you guys are only just getting started. Rest assured that there will be great days ahead though. Many of us have felt the frustration that you're currently feeling at some point during our builds, and unfortunately, you guys are only just getting started. Rest assured that there will be great days ahead though. Thanks Venturai - I guess we are just disheartened because we were told prior to xmas our slab would be down by more than one person and now they are back from the xmas break and nothing has moved and we've been told the plumbers would start Friday 13th and then were told it would be last week and still nothing. But we did have movement yesterday which is pretty exciting! Looking forward to the great days ahead! doublej2500 Sar&Andy - did you have any progress / update from Burbank Hey doublej, We do have an update!! Our stormwater and sewer was completed yesterday!! Woo Hoo!! Finally some progress!! Now hopefully it won't be too long until we have a slab *fingers crossed*! How are things going with your build? I moved over 700 bricks to the back of the house. Your post made me laugh.... no slab, no slab prep, no nothing since stormwater and sewer was signed off on my place on 23/01 . We are back to feeling completely disheartened with the whole process. Once again our SS has given us false information on when things were to be booked in etc. I spoke with our new liaison on Tuesday and she said it was noted on our file that slab was booked in to commence from 25/01 and then she called me back Wednesday to say that it is now booked in to commence from 08/02, so I'm unsure why it is going to take 2 and a half weeks from stormwater and sewer until slab prep starts, especially if the slab was booked to commence last Wednesday, but once again nothing we can do but sit back and wait... starting to get a little scared as we have a baby on the way due in August and no home (currently living with my DH's parents) I'm really hoping slab prep starts next week and that things really move once slab goes down! Thank you for checking in How are things going on over at your place?? Progress on my site has been good for the last 7 days. Waiting for lockup soon (Big bill $$) - my thread has the actual work that was done / needs to be done It sure looks like they are taking a long time from Site preparation to Slab. I find that SS has more accurate information on what is happening onsite than the Site Admin. Hope your SS keeps you posted accurately. Thank you for the congratulations very excited that our long awaited bubba is on the way Things are a bit tight living with the in laws (hubby, myself and my 11 year old son all squished into one bedroom at the moment ) but it will be worth it to save some extra money and have the things we want when we move into the house. We have had some progress hubby spoke with our SS yesterday who guaranteed us that the concretors would be one site today commencing slab prep and weather depending our slab will be poured Friday! WOO HOO! We went for a drive out to the block last night and our waffle pods and reo had been delivered, so all signs look good that we should have a slab Friday!
