Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 909May 21, 2013 9:40 pm asmith007 Guys for fencing I recommend T. Foster and Sons - I got timber fencing for $60 per lin metre. The installation was good. $60 per metre is a good price, wish i had asked you earlier to save myself and my neighbour some more cash. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 912Jun 03, 2013 5:28 pm With the Opticom setup, is there any need to get a land line phone service connected??... Also to the Parkbridge resident who has been using our building site as a dumping ground with atleast 10 garbage bags now, hope we dont find any evidence of what house they came from.! Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 913Jun 05, 2013 1:44 pm Hey Cackling, nope no land line required. All you need do is call Opticomm once your builder has made the connection available to be connected and they will make you fill out a "Cable Entry Checklist". I suggest you do it as early as possible. I was on a waiting list for 2 months before I got mine up and running. I'm afraid garbage on build sites is inevitable but it shouldn't be your responsibility. Your builder will clean it up. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 914Jun 05, 2013 8:56 pm Along with the Checklist you will also have to send them a form (TCA1) which will be filled in by the electrician. I had to chase up mirvac for that form. But i'm glad I did, I had it before the handover and was able to get opticomm to com out for the installation on the same afternoon of the handover day. That is correct, for opticomm to come out do their part, they need the acceptance form and the TCA1 form filled in by your electrician/cabler. This form as I know is handed to you at the time of handover or in some cases sent to you by the builder prior to handover (just as soon as the work is done so you can contact Opticomm and get a headstart) Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 917Jun 13, 2013 3:16 pm hi guys, the opticomm tech came to my house on tues and he found out the cables were installed incorrectly... we have a big opticomm box in the garage and some cables hanging outside the house as well... but he said the cables should be in the garage otherwise he cant install the ONT... he asked me to get mirvac to fixed this up first and make another appointment with opticomm... so does anyone have the same issue with mirvac?? thanks Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 918Jun 13, 2013 3:49 pm My jnstallation was donr a bit different. I have the hub in the wir and the opticommm ont just installed underneath it. If you have the hub in the garage ask your ss where conduit leads to from the side of the house. It may be that mirvac may not done the job properly, in my case it was a simlle case of terminating the telephone cables. But it all depends where your hub is? Where the ont is to be placed and if the conduit leads from the outside to the hub. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 919Jun 18, 2013 10:14 am Has anyone been having trouble with council?? Ours seems to be taking an awfully long time and others are around they have gone in much later seem to be getting approved.. It's getting very disappointing Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 920Jun 18, 2013 11:10 am Keep ringing council, seems to be the most effective tactic. Ours is going up steady, lots of action now in Stage 6, though none of our direct neighbours have started. 8 50947 I haven’t. But have a Lowe Design home. Not only did I find Matt Lowe patronising and a bully, but the home is NOT TO CODE. I have water coming through the bricks… 1 36871 Nothing yet, have been distracted this year with work related projects and a new kid but hoping to start building one way or another early next year.
