Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 861May 02, 2013 10:36 am Hi guys, i just found this on Liverpool council web site RE: Leppington Town Centre http://www.liverpool.nsw.gov.au/buildin ... -precincts Leppington Town Centre Development of the town centre will depend on the timing and location of residential subdivision taking place across the South West Growth Centre. While there may be some development soon after Leppington Railway Station opens, it will take many years for the Town Centre to fully develop. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 862May 02, 2013 11:57 pm Wishing they would hurry with the Middleton Grange town center!.... Our frame went up this week..finally looks like a house...so keen to get it finished. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 863May 07, 2013 3:40 pm Has anyone got plans with Liverpool City Council at the moment? How has this been tracking for you all? We are 6 weeks in and no completion date has been advised yet. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 864May 07, 2013 8:13 pm Hi wiztek, I am in council at the moment.. I have found the tracking number on the Internet doesn't work.. I spoke to my builder today.. Apparently they have had no issues with our plans only something about our fire rating.. I may email or call the lady in charge of my approval later in the week or early next week to see how it's going.. Ours has only been in 3 weeks.. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 867May 08, 2013 7:53 am You need to nag ur builder wiztek... Ring them tell them it's approved and ask them why they havnt started building yet... My builder is useless at passing on information.. I have to email them every week to do a progress email because they seem to fail to contact me.. Really is it that hard for anyone to write an email?? But wiztek stay on there back.. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 868May 08, 2013 8:35 am Yep, I’ll be calling the builder today. It could be this is an error with the Council’s online services, or potentially DA is done but they are working on the construction certificate now? Also, can anyone comment on builders insurance during construction? Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 869May 08, 2013 12:32 pm We have DA approval! That's a few days over 6 weeks. The CC should come within a week. I have done some research on building insurance, and it appears it should be covered by the builder? This is also noted in the HIA contract. Eg insurance n event there is damage during construction as a result of factors such as fire etc. Anyone had any experience on this with Mirvac? I am following up with the builder now. I wonder if this is something they only provide once they have complete approval? Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 870May 08, 2013 11:33 pm Doesnt the HIA contract state you have to site the builders license and insurance policy etc when you sign it?, there is check boxes or something if i remember correctly Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 871May 08, 2013 11:49 pm The builder will take out an insurance policy for your build, i have built with mirvac and they had provided the insurance and the bank also needed a copy of it before handing me the letter of commencement. Earlier this week i got my handover date for the 24th, seems like time had just flown past these past few weeks and im sure the next few will be quicker. At the moment looking at getting opticomm connected and going through ISP's in think im down to iinet and internode, anyone have any thoughts on them? At the moment looking at getting opticomm connected and going through ISP's in think im down to iinet and internode, anyone have any thoughts on them? congraz!! i was going to register my address on opticomm web site but they asked me some questions that i dont know how to answer... i want to confirm with mirvac first before i submit my request... - iinet is a lot cheaper than internode... $100 for 500GB + 500GB (100Mb/40Mb) - internode costs you $170 (i think) for 1000GB (100Mb/40Mb)... but their customer service and network performance is excellent... i will choose iinet because it is a lot cheaper LOL Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 874May 09, 2013 8:49 am wiztek Does anyone know how long the CC takes after DA approval? Roughly, assuming LCC is the PCA? i was with PCA... it took me 2 weeks to get the approval and Mirvac started building my house on the 3rd or 4th week... that was pretty quick! Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 875May 09, 2013 9:05 am 2 weeks after receiving DA? Cool, i'm arranging the commencement letter now so as soon as we get CC nothing should hold us back from contract commencement (20 days to commence build) Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 876May 09, 2013 11:57 am tonycfc iamjason Earlier this week i got my handover date for the 24th, seems like time had just flown past these past few weeks and im sure the next few will be quicker. My meighbour has also gone with iinet, isent him an email to chekc if he has used them before and what sort of speeds he is getting from the fibre connection, will post what he says once i get a reply. From what i have heard internode does provide better service and has a better network, but at this stage i would prefer to save the $$$. I got the forms from opticomm for which i am waiting on mirvac to confirm some details before sending it out as i don't have the TCa1 form from them yet. But unusually they have sent me a $0 invoice so im not sure whats happening there Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 877May 09, 2013 12:00 pm wiztek 2 weeks after receiving DA? Cool, i'm arranging the commencement letter now so as soon as we get CC nothing should hold us back from contract commencement (20 days to commence build) \ Hey wiz mirvac has been very good and quick to respond during the construction phase. For my build they had started with the slab before the 20days and i believe even during the christmas holidays which lasted till about the end of january. So once you hand them the commencement letter things will move quickly for you. Re: Anyone building with Mirvac @ Parkbridge Middleton grang 880May 09, 2013 7:17 pm wiztek Thanks Jason So how long did your build take all up in weeks if you don’t mind me asking? Congratulations on the handover date I know my slab was down on 16/1, not sure how long it had been down as it was during the industry shutdown, which started before i left for holidays in december, thats how i know they didn't actually wait for the twenty days. So counting from that date its 18 weeks, but we also had delays during the brickwork stage because of the rain. Before we had went for DA we were told by sales rep that we didn't have to go through council but with PCA which is Local, which was a good thing as they were 2-3 weeks quicker than going to council. Hope you get a response quickly and can get moving along with the construction, things will pick up from there onwards. I am building in claymore NSW and this is shown in the building envelope plan. … 0 12787 8 19636 I haven’t. But have a Lowe Design home. Not only did I find Matt Lowe patronising and a bully, but the home is NOT TO CODE. I have water coming through the bricks… 1 18177 |
