Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 30, 2011 9:15 am Was wondering about downpipes connections to the stormwater system. Our builder's plumber has them cutting into the first course of bricks in many cases (so partially into the wall). As we have rendered it won't affect the look of the bricks other than the wall won't be entirely smooth.
Following a complaint we have been told this is entirely normal - can anyone confirm if this is the case or if it's not are there any standards/regulations? Added a few photos below so you can see what I am talking about. Any help much appreciated.
