Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 26, 2011 5:41 pm Hello everyone, While this is my first post, I have been reading this forum for awhile now and I am grateful to everyone who has shared information about the building process. It has been very helpful to me as this is our first time building. We are planning to demolish a house and fill in an inground fibreglass swimming pool to prepare our site for building. The block is in Mount Waverley, Victoria. I have no idea who to contact about filling in the pool so if anyone has any recommendations, I would really appreciate it. If anyone knows a good demolisher then I would love to hear about them too. We don't settle on the property until end of October so it is hard to arrange quotes, etc until then. But once we settle I want to arrange demolition and filling in of the pool ASAP. Many thanks, Michelle Re: Filling in a fibreglass pool and demo - Mt Waverley 2Sep 26, 2011 5:51 pm is your pool below or above,l had inground had good access got fill from work sites free Re: Filling in a fibreglass pool and demo - Mt Waverley 3Sep 26, 2011 6:15 pm Thanks pattycake4 it is inground So maybe if I can find another building site that is excavating nearby I could ask them to drop off their fill in my pool But what about compacting it down? Part of the house will go on top of the area so the soil will need to be compacted.... DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair But if it is a ground level open pit, then it is not a charged system. No surprises there. The pipes have obviously been altered and there would be a reason for this.… 3 31235 That was always going to be a challenge and a test of patience. Full marks to your mate. Did you discuss the wet area near the trampoline? 16 17287 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate. Appreciate it. Its gives us a very idea. Kind Regards 4 3606 |
