Our roof tiles are just about to go up this week. How many weeks did it take after your roof went on till the stage your at now? Pretty much 4 weeks. Our tiles were on by 14th October, and we hit lockup stage by 11th November. On the first week they rendered the walls, next week they did the ceilings, then they plastered the walls (and put the windows in), then the lockup week. aloha123 Was your sales rep Lee by any chance? Nah we had a fella named Alby, but he left the company while we were waiting for our land to title. Re: Venturai's build - Ultimate St Marks HBC, Banksia Grove 28Nov 30, 2011 5:47 pm Shocking brick work Venturai! But at least the rest looks great Is your roof Monument? Crazy to see the amount of people who would never build with HBC again! Aloha my CLO reckons it takes about 3 - 4 weeks from roof cover to lock up.. Bear in mind the entire building industry closes for 2 - 3 weeks over Christmas / New Year and some suppliers close for 5 - 6 weeks! So fingers crossed we both get to lock up in time! It then generally takes up to 6 weeks to get to PC.. About 1 - 2 weeks for any rectification works and handover. I'm guessing to be in the second or third week of March My building forum: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=49650&p=756654#p756654 Building the 'Ultimate St Marks' with Home Buyers Centre Re: Venturai's build - Ultimate St Marks HBC, Banksia Grove 29Nov 30, 2011 5:50 pm Oh forgot to mention - your theatre is great! But at least the rest looks great Is your roof Monument? Nah we chose Woodland Grey. The two were both our favourites, but after looking at samples while we were there, it came down to WG on the day sdmould Oh forgot to mention - your theatre is great! Would love to see some pics of it When I'm kitting it out? I can do that. Funds are going to be at a low however, just getting in there and getting that crossover done is going to damn near break the bank. I have most of the hardware ready to go though, including a 1080p projector (which I'll get ceiling mounted), and one mother of a subwoofer, but there's a few things I'd like to do to the room, and it's all going to cost money. It'll be a slow process then, probably take a couple of years, but I'll get there. Re: Venturai's build - Ultimate St Marks HBC, Banksia Grove 31Nov 30, 2011 7:42 pm I think it's going to be a slow process for us all! Haha so many ideas, so limited funds! Is the whole room 'sunken'? Haha so many ideas, so limited funds! Is the whole room 'sunken'? Nah only the front part, that is, the part in the original plan that's normally just the theatre. The second half of the room, which is bedroom 2 in the original plan, is at normal height. The idea came about so that I can seat two rows of recliners, with the screen up on the wall that the room shares with the garage, and the heads of those seated in front of you aren't in your way The great thing is that, because so much of the modification just meant removing things, it's a change that cost only $40. Best $40 I've ever spent, if you ask me Re: Venturai's build - Ultimate St Marks HBC, Banksia Grove 33Nov 30, 2011 8:35 pm That's such a great idea! Nothin worse than someone sitting in front blocking your view wish I had of thought to do the kitchen like yours! Nothin worse than someone sitting in front blocking your view wish I had of thought to do the kitchen like yours! Lovely Hehe, you meant you wish you'd thought to do the theatre like ours - that gave us both a chuckle A modification like that, we have to be wary of it impacting the house's potential resale value, because I don't think I can get away with advertising it as a 4x2 anymore. But that's cool, because I'm going to call it a "double-sized theatre room"! If we ever sell and move on, that'll get the blokes knocking at the door! Again. It's been over three weeks now since any significant changes were made, and two weeks since anything has been done atall. It's not because most of the tradies have already taken leave for Christmas, because the house across the street from us continues to advance in leaps and bounds. Their tiling and painting looks to have been finished, their power points are in, their garage door and mechanism have been installed and all of their paving has been done, including their crossover. Evidently they also promised those clients they'd get in by Christmas, only, they intend to keep that promise, at our expense. Once again, I would never build with Homebuyers again. The way they give some of their clients priority over the rest of us absolutely infuriates me. Re: Venturai's build - Ultimate St Marks HBC, Banksia Grove 38Dec 12, 2011 5:27 pm Any update or new piccys? Hope they've done something at your site!!! Hope they've done something at your site!!! Not as yet mate. They were supposed to be starting the tiling this week. We've suffered a delay of approx 2-3 weeks while waiting for the tiling to get done, so if we'd gone down the weekend just gone we'd have no doubt left disappointed once again. At this stage, to give them time to actually get some work done (so we're not always driving 45 minutes to get there, just to leave disappointed 5 minutes later), we're not planning on going back up again until about Boxing day. With any luck by then all the tiling will be done, most of the painting, and who knows, maybe some of the paving. I can dream Re: Venturai's build - Ultimate St Marks HBC, Banksia Grove 40Dec 12, 2011 9:49 pm Why have you had a delay? Is it the actual getting of your tiles which is delayed or are they waiting at site? Luckily were only 20 mins away but i completely understand that disappointed feeling! Its horrible! You get excited and then arrive and you feel so dejected! Here's hoping you have paving at boxing day! Least they could do is give you a nice christmas pressie My building forum: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=49650&p=756654#p756654 Building the 'Ultimate St Marks' with Home Buyers Centre Hi, Would you please share some photos of your Orlando 20 HBC build?
