Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building on the Central Coast NSW 121Apr 16, 2012 8:11 pm Yep, I think the fiddly bits start now...have been really lucky with the weather with only a few wet days. Probably about 4/5 days when no site activity. Now they move inside the weather wont matter so much anyway. Our builder has been really great to date and if our project continues down this path to us turning the front door key, it will have been a very good experience. Fingers crossed....not too much longer to go. Re: Building on the Central Coast NSW 122Apr 20, 2012 10:26 am and now the scaffolding has gone..I've been cleaning up the yard a bit. Roof goes on the garage and front porch next week, then the action moves inside. We are very happy with it all so far. There appears to be some minor damage to the A/C downpipe. I think we might have had some mongrels looking for copper. Don't know if there was any to be taken, but sure makes me cranky when we work hard and save hard and this sort of thing happens to anyone. Fortunately doesn't appear to be serious damage. Re: Building on the Central Coast NSW 131May 05, 2012 11:20 am Yep those walls sure do go up fast. Copper theft is rife in the building industry, can't imagine how anyone could do that! Re: Building on the Central Coast NSW 135May 09, 2012 8:53 am JohnnyD Your site looks so neat! Loretta ..... the house looks so neat For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! Re: Building on the Central Coast NSW 136May 09, 2012 5:57 pm It's also looking neat because, after the tradies go home we sweep/rake/broom where required. Just because it is our place and we want to do it. We don't expect tradies to take the same interest in our place as we do, which is fair enough, so we dust pan up all the gyprock dust etc, everyday and rake the yard to surface the broken bricks and the like. So glad to see this today : Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ because the ladder seemed to be getting longer !
