WORLD CONCEPT HOMES Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=44725 Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Lock Up 69Jun 22, 2012 11:20 am Furhter Progress is what it sounds like I'm having over the next week... I met with the SS last Thursday to discuss the shower screen in the ensuite, and we discussed changing it from a swing to a slider, so sounds like this is a go ahead, I just had to get F's to send the auth through to the glass guys... While there I said this is all cruising, so what is the next step, he said well Painting... I joked and said so what they're in next week are they, and he said No, the have private jobs on because buidling trade is slow at the moment so they are a week and half to two weeks away... Well Wednesday I went past on my way to work and saw the doors open so called in to say g'day to who ever was there, and it was the corness installer, bit of a chat and he said he had to let the painter in Tuesday to look and install the cornesses Wed as painter was wanting to start Thursday.... That's not even a week later Can't wipe this smile off my face at the moment.. Today however, took a turn for bad... and embarrassing... Plumber called as he is there installing the fixtures and i'm supplying one tap so had to take off from work and drop it off, so I pulled up in my driveway where I normally do.... and... I felt the car start to slide... uh oh... S#!7... luckily got that out, so when i walked to the house I looked for what seemed to be solid ground to step on, step and schlouup, my foot got sucked in to the MUD... I lost my balance because of that but luckily didn't fall over, but put my next foot down and obviously same thing... finally managed to hit hard ground and had to take off my shoes AND socks as they were a new colour of MUD lol BTW I hope you are not laughing at me now . Lucky I found a really old pair of school shoes at home to change into. So back to the good news... talking with the painter yesterday and he said he will be about a week and a half with this job, that's fine house is only set to be 3 weeks away anyway and while talking received a phone call from the furniture... Table was meant to be 6 weeks, couch 6 - 8 and bed was available in 2, but now everything except the table available in 2, so they said if I'm happy to accept the floor stock table I can have it in 2 as well with $100 off...Considering this one as $100 is almost too little as floor stock to give off... see what I come back with and get... else I'll just wait. That's all the excitement for today BB Barossa Bubbles Building own design Fairmont Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51265&hilit=Barossa+Bubbles Roof on-bricks next Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Lock Up 70Jun 22, 2012 3:25 pm Phew .... and the mud Great progress!! Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Lock Up 71Jun 22, 2012 6:09 pm Oh dear Was the plumber sympathetic? I drove part way to work and thought I'd call my SS but then decided to turn around and inspect further... Walked along the neighbours ground and saw the pipework taped up so I'm guessing it looks pro enough that the plumber actually un-installed in Friday before he left so it's not out in the open easy enough to steal DCT still waiting on that photo of your old place if you can find it please BB Barossa Bubbles Building own design Fairmont Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51265&hilit=Barossa+Bubbles Roof on-bricks next Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Lock Up 73Jun 25, 2012 11:37 am These photos were taken on the night we moved out of our old place about a year ago (where does the time go??? ). I had another look at your plan but apart from the kitchen/family area the design is completely different. Was yours custom designed or one of Fairmont's? https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Lock Up 74Jun 25, 2012 3:15 pm Nah Mine was completely my own... layout, room sizes, My kitchen looks a bit bigger than yours there as my dishwasher is still under the window section next to the two cupboards, and the fridge outcove you have I have as my wall oven and fridge will go on the wall adjacent the floating cupboard, so to speak. Does it sit flush with the cupboard doors beside it? I will call back in there and have a closer inspection but this is what was explained to me and I had worked on BB Barossa Bubbles Building own design Fairmont Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51265&hilit=Barossa+Bubbles Roof on-bricks next Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Lock Up 77Jun 25, 2012 3:43 pm Goodo! I remembered that someone ages ago had a similiar setup and realised once the dishwasher was installed that the drawers wouldn't open! I can see where there is a little kicker to the left of the dishwasher provision which I would assume is to allow for the d/w door to open. Is Fairmont installing it? https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Lock Up 79Jun 25, 2012 4:15 pm no... I've been advised my painter will be finished Monday or Tuesday... then what else is there to do... Clean through, faceplates for electrical switches put back on, and doors re-hung...? I can't think of anything else... then I have to organise the installation of my "extras" aircon, flooring and paving or pergola... I'm a bit stressed with the fencing factor as I've had the retaining wall installed on the one side for a few weeks but nothing more has happened and that same bloke is meant to be doing my paving but he has a full workload running as he's good and I don't know when the paving is going to be looking at being done... I would ideally LOVE this obviously before I move in.. Don't think it's going to happen now though.. Rainwater tanks are set to arrive Wednesday next week... shall keep you posted BB Barossa Bubbles Building own design Fairmont Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51265&hilit=Barossa+Bubbles Roof on-bricks next 6 55354 Hi, can anyone recommend a custom home builder who can build in north east area?
