My painting was finished off last week, looks soooooo good. and the robes and mirrors and little fixtures etc were being done today... have to take a photo through the window of the robes tonight on my way home. The toilet has been taken away but the excess roof tiles are still on the neighbours block... maybe I should call up and tell them the neighbour has complained (he hasn't but maybe then they will remove them) after all the day the bloke finished the roof tiles he called and said they werent on my property and they had to be picked up and that was end of March if I recall correctly.... PCI is booked for next Tuesday when my SS is back from holidays, then the following Monday or Tues hopefully I get my keys, and Tues or Wed the AC starts, the following Monday the flooring starts to be finished Tuesday, Tuesday the rain water tanks arive, Wednesday/Thursday the furniture and whitegoods arrive and hopefully Friday the Pergola is finished.... Then just a question as to when the outside will be workable so I can actually move in So exciting and unbelievable.... WORLD CONCEPT HOMES Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=44725 Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Almost there 88Aug 01, 2012 11:16 pm I'm loving your selections for your kitchen and bathroom! I'm going for a black/white/grey theme I just went to supreme kitchens to have a look today and I'll be choosing the joinery as you have. I love the silk/gloss look! I see you've used the charcoal coloured tile on the bathroom floor, but what have you used in other areas of your house? I hope all is going well for you! Feel free to follow our build! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59958 Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Almost there 89Aug 03, 2012 9:17 am Thanks SammyMac, the photos really don't do justice of how good it looks even if I do say so myself. I'll upload a few more pics when I can. I've gone for Rosegum Floating Floorboards through out passages, Kitchen, Dining, Family and Lounge and I'll get a rug for the lounge down the track as well, but for the first part of my living there it is going to be my pool table room . The bedrooms I went for a Gold Underlay and a light coloured carpet - I'll find out the name and upload pics with the details again... I moved part of my things across yesterday while there was lots of action happening outside... I finally have a fence all the way along one side Still LOTS more to do yet.... I'm a little unsure on having white tiles, or even a light grey. If I'm having a black white grey theme to my house, I'm not sure how floorboards would work for me. Still more to come... the paving has all been finished now, the back yard has been filled in (well mostly) the fences are all up, I have had my tanks installed in my yard now, and the front yard is getting shaped soon too.... There were a few stressful times there with the fence and retaining wall guys, and due to family issues they were really slack with turning up to work, well nice week off for me resulted in me coaxing them to my place by 7.30 for bacon and eggs... it worked Monday, but then Tuesday I was surprised to see them there at 7 am... that way they started in at work, then stopped for breaky and back to it by 7.50 lol Nice hint for anyone else trying to get some work done too!!! Now i just have to wait for my big bill to come for all the work they have done :S Photos show the great work though ! What a difference from the first few pictures with boggy mud everywhere to the lovely nice, dry paving. I'm sure the rain held up the guys a bit too; our build was about four weeks delay due to the block being too saturated to trench but all good now and we have a slab! I like your L shape pergola, loads of room to entertain and your 'tetris' paving I have to ask - is that a bubblewrap tablecloth? Oh, and good idea with the breakfast, glad to hear it worked I took a container full of patty cakes for the slab crew and they were very much appreciated - none left to take back home. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43937&start=0 Bought a block in Golden Grove - Jan 2011 Finally finished our design, Mar 2012, *yay* Signed with ADH council consent June 12 Re: My New Custom Fairm0nt Home, Almost there 94Sep 20, 2012 7:57 pm Wow, looks like you've been very busy and accomplished so much in such a short space of time! Your paving and pergola look great. Did you do anything in regards to the disclaimer that Fairm0nt hand out regarding how "you must engage a structural engineer to certify any additional roof loads" for your pergola?
