I got blinds before we moved in and on Thursday most lights are up!! Landscaping not going to think about it unitl warming weather. Re: Bron's Building Bonanza (melbourne) - 3 weeks, about, ma 182Jun 02, 2012 11:10 am PS. Does anyone actually get to lockup before they send the invoice? As for the race, I think the rain gods handicapped you from the start. I'll sit and watch from the finish line with the champagne until you join me [/quote] That's great Bron, only a week or so to go. Am I going to come in a close second? I have my final invoice (cheeky of them) and PCI booked in for the 21st June. There's heaps of stuff for them still to do. Forever the skeptic and with good reason DRG Re: Bron's Building Bonanza (melbourne) - 3 weeks, about, ma 183Jun 07, 2012 7:20 pm Could be a reeeeally close finish DRG! I didn't realize you were getting so close. Our qa has been pushed out by a week, so we still don't have an actual pci date. They've taken down the temporary fence though and removed the portaloo and skip. They still need to pour the driveway, install the flyscreens and flydoors, and paint the gable. Don't know what needs doing inside, but I suspect it should be pretty much done. Re: Bron's Building Bonanza (melbourne) - still no pci 185Jun 20, 2012 5:51 pm It's depressing how little has happened over the last 3 weeks after thinking we were nearly there. Still no pci date Also getting very frustrated being asked the same questions about the incorrect lights 4 different times - we've even had the electrician call himself to ask the same dumb question! Them: "So do you have the pendant lights yet so we can install them?" Us: "No, we're not going to buy them until after handover" Them: "But you'll just have to get an electrician in to install them anyway" Us: "No, we're using DIY pendants, they plug straight into a standard light fitting, which is why we need standard light fittings installed as per the plan" Them: "Oh ok" .... One week later: "So do you have the pendant lights yet so we can install them?" Me: RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA <end rant> On the plus side, they finally poured our driveway yesterday Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Bron's Building Bonanza (melbourne) - PCI!!! 186Jun 26, 2012 2:08 pm PCI scheduled for Monday July 2nd!!!! So relieved to finally get there, and allowing myself to feel excited about things again. I've booked in the New Home Inspections guys for an independent inspection. I feel that this takes a lot of the pressure off us on the day, so is worth the money for that alone. Re: Bron's Building Bonanza (melbourne) - PCI!!! 187Jul 25, 2012 4:38 pm Well, it's been a long time coming, but we've finally booked settlement for the end of next week. Hooray!
