We will put our existing bed in one of the other bedrooms and sleep there from Friday night We meet with the painters on Sat morning, whoops still don't know what colors we should have, another job for Friday, it is all busy busy busy Re: Building with Gemmill Homes~ so close yet so far 229Nov 28, 2012 7:37 pm caz_770 Soooo, keys yet? And finally, I too can say, ugh, banks! Why can't they just.....I don't know, LET US HAVE HOUSES!!! Or something..... Guess I need to practice still (Sorry, I worked for a bank for 8 years and only left in October....) Sorry there has been a delay! Hope you have keys and it's just been busy-busy since you got them Haha you can see it from both sides now, how is your new job? Bet your glad to be back Re: Building with Gemmill Homes~ so close yet so far 230Nov 28, 2012 8:32 pm excited Haha you can see it from both sides now, how is your new job? Bet your glad to be back Well, I am enjoying it! Not back yet, but I have an RDO tomorrow so, looking forward to.... I don't know, exploring the island a little more maybe? I cannot explain just how much I appreciate my home when I am home though!! Almost don't want to leave it for the entire RnR!! I had all these plans to travel during my RnRs, then realised it would mean I'd never be home!! Can't have that! Keys are so close for you!! It must be soooo exciting now, even though it's kind of just out of reach, I think it would just add to the excitement when you do finally get to walk into your new home!!! Re: Building with Gemmill Homes~ so close yet so far 231Nov 28, 2012 10:30 pm Taking the philosophical approach is wise, saves a heap of frustration...! And yeah it was not the best day to be driving around, was it! I ventured out before dinner to grab petrol as it is supposed to be going up 15c tomorrow How can they justify it??? Friday will be exciting for you! And a sleepover as well... . how cool is that, can't wait to be able to do that! Do you have any paint colours in mind? I had my mind set on Russian Toffee but now wonder if Beige Royal half would be better...I have to decide basically tonight or tomorrow as prestart is Friday. What colour did you use for your door and surrounds? Re: Building with Gemmill Homes~ so close yet so far 232Dec 01, 2012 11:28 pm Keys, keys, keys..... YAYYAYYYAYAAAYYAYYYYYYYYYY Yes so happy, so tired, legs ached because of running back and forth from the old house to the new but the worst was leaving today to go back to work was sooooooo sad cause I just love my new house. We could only move small things in that I could hide in the kitchen or bathroom cupboards because the painter will come in and paint his little heart away, we will have lots of trucks come over the next month with loads of topsoil for the front, cheap soil for fill at the back and the driveway will be raised up as well, so it should look great Re: Building with Gemmill Homes~ so close yet so far 234Dec 06, 2012 9:41 pm Treeseachanger Taking the philosophical approach is wise, saves a heap of frustration...! Sleepover was fantastic, paint selection was so hard, we went with Dulux tuft and irrigation for the feature wall in master bedroom, we hope it looks ok Re: Building with Gemmill Homes~ so close yet so far 235Dec 06, 2012 10:27 pm So glad you are all moved in and enjoting your new home. Paint selctions sound lovely. The OP has gone The latch and striker are definitely not aligned but there was no point trying to help the OP understand that.
