Enjoy the dreaming, it is so much fun Thanks again Kiwi for your kind words, its been an amazing and exciting experience seeing the house take shape, we only live like 5 mins away from the build site so it makes it easy to swing by and have a look a couple times a day Our Build Thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=50638 Re: Our New Build The Pareece *Fowler Homes*- Roof Trusses 64Dec 06, 2011 4:56 pm TheCastleSyd Doesn't that big block of land disappear quickly. Very exciting stuff. Looking good. I agree, after the frames went up we got a better idea of how much backyard we will have and unfortunately its not a great amount. It has been really exiciting and we have made quite some considerable progress considering the crap sydney weather (OMG where has summer gone ) How are things progressing for you, have you gotten DA approval yet? Re: Our New Build The Pareece *Fowler Homes*- Bricks are her 66Dec 06, 2011 5:20 pm With the kies holding back the rain only just the frames and roof trusses finally got completed today (bar an area at the front porch, chippy said something to do with missing some things from truss company. We got our slab invoice last week and it got cleared and paid to the builder yesterday (feeling much poorer now ). Well considering we have all frames and windows in and bricks delivered and only been invoiced and paid for slab its a bonus . We have HowardKRyan bookied in for inspection this Friday, hopefully nothing major but will address issues we were able to see. Still in Council but we are told that it should't be long now. Your bricks look like there is a bit of Colour variation. Are they Topaz or Freedom? Follow our Fowler Homes build: http://buildingourcastle.blogspot.com Re: Our New Build The Pareece *Fowler Homes*- Roof Trusses 68Dec 06, 2011 7:04 pm Did you try and ring council yourself for progress, we called up council to check on the progress. Think the 2nd close up photo is the camera playing up, from afar there colours of are pretty consistent. The bricks are from the metropolis range and are called marcasite. We originally had chosed Bramptom from the whitsunday range, but was informed from our ss sometime before slab pouring that the whitsunday range of bricks once there are chips or after brick cleaning that the painted finish comes off and reveals an orange brick underneath. He said that he's been getting lots of headaches from some owners complaining about this and highly recommended that we change to save us the headache down the track. So they bricks we choose have a wire cut finish and are coloured right through (better than being painted) Note: If you do a quick search on this forum there are other people not happy about the chipping and orange colour underneath the painted finish of the whitsunday range. There were none in the standard ranges or the Whitsundays so we were going to have to upgrade but we were told about the Whitsundays problem before Colour Selection and chose Topaz, a brown wire cut, also from the Metropolis range. Good to hear your Metropolis are ok. Marcasite was one of our choices, although I think we have settled now on Everyday Life Leisure Brick. We too were going to choose the Urban One Pepper Brick (same as Modeena Display Home Oran Park) but were also turned off the painted concept. Colour selection for us on Friday !!! ______________________________________________________________________ Our Build Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52185 Re: Our New Build The Pareece *Fowler Homes*- Bricks are her 71Dec 06, 2011 8:27 pm dreaman Pics are looking great, good to see they are still working in the rain. Depends on your preference...
