Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 28, 2008 6:18 pm Guys,
Just wonderring if there could be any problems ( concil regulations, etc.. ) with land near childcare? It'a a new estate in Melbourne SE and childcare building is already in progress. On one side land is positioned right next to childcare driveway and there will be a neighbour on the other side. Builder is offering fixed price contract and promising that there will be no additional costs involved, and even if engineers will come up with higher price, builder will cover it. Thanks. And more Noise. Re: Land Selection & Fixed price contract 4Jan 28, 2008 8:52 pm we use to live next door to a child care centre. the main problem was during the day mon-fri there was lots of noise, and the children LOVED to throw toys, stones etc over our fence. Not too pleasant. I wouldn't think there would be anything wrong with the land, probably just being beside a child care centre has turned people off. Well...nice question I think I do, and my kid is due to go to the childcare next year when he will be 3 years. Thanks for your oppinions guys. I'll think twice before signing the land contract. There should be another block of land also available in this estate. Re: Land Selection & Fixed price contract 6Jan 29, 2008 6:44 am I wouldn't live next door to the childcare my kids go to. Every time you hear a child crying you will strain your ears to hear if it's yours, you also might find it harder to send your little one there when you live next door as they might feel they can stand at the fence and call out to you all day.
I agree with the traffic, you won't want to be caught running out the front in your pj's to get the paper, especially if you will see the parents later at the daycare!! Too many issues for me. Jet Re: Land Selection & Fixed price contract 7Jan 29, 2008 7:02 am A house next door to the chilcare my daughter goes has been for sale for over 6 months. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17601 So AFAIk the outcomes of the BAL ratings form part of a clause that allows them to pass these costs on to you. However the more relevant detail is how did it go from 19… 1 9164 You talk about deletions, are they variations or PS and PC adjustments? pleas list them 1 16557 |
