Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 22, 2011 2:34 pm Hi, can anyone recommend a medium size builder in south east melb? We have been to all the big ones but feel more comfortable with one of the smaller to medium size as we feel they will be more flexible to changes. There are so many to choose from i thought if someone has had a good experience it would be a good starting place, The few we had in mind so far are Cavalier,Onley, River gum, any feedback would be appreciated Cheers john Re: Medium size builders in S.E melb 2Aug 22, 2011 9:04 pm Hi John, Purely speaking from our experience with two medium builders, we have always been more incline to use them as most times you can get better value for money and also those inclusions eg: flyscreens, tiles, carpets as standard and not an inclusion with a 'bonus' We built an investment home in 2009 with Glenville Homes. They were great, hassle free builders and have given us a wonderful solid investment home in Bacchus Marsh. We didn't change much with the floor plans and didn't seek many upgrades due to it being an investment but they were still very helpful with every stage of the contract and build. I can't remember who we delt with at the time as our SS but i do know the guy who did all our contracts has now left. At the moment we are building our home again in Bacchus Marsh to live in with Dixon Homes and they have been amazing. We have changed the floors plans (alot) added things, taken things out, moved things and they have done it all at no extra costings. They also had (at the time we signed) an amazing opening special and upgrade package which we just couldn't find many others could meet. We are dealt with Kevin for contracts and his been more then easy to work with, and we have just had our block cut and our SS is Nathan whom so far has been very informative. Also just so you know we live in Sydney and built/ building in Melbourne and both companies had /have been very very helpful and understanding. Hope that has helped Living in Sydney - Building in Melbourne My Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=50518 Re: Medium size builders in S.E melb 3Aug 22, 2011 10:26 pm Hi we are up to lock up stage with Rawdon Hill and so far very happy.
