Goes with the party (or slab) bill! Yes, that has been the most exciting action of the past week. I have noticed that the slab is quite high above the ground...didn't think it would be that high (the company never suggested a bit of excavation which would lower it a bit)...oh well, that means extra $ when it comes to concreting the drive, path and soil to build it up around the house. Small camber at the roller door opening, I am sure it can be smoothed. I get to finally meet my SS on Friday to get some suggestions and thoughts! Frame due to be delivered tomorrow and started on Monday next week. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ No idea what these dots mean! Does anyone have any theories? My SS told me he was going to check it out! Also found a few piles of wood.... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Framing should start on Monday (one week after the slab has been poured). From everything I have read, this recent cool weather and rain is good for the curing of the slab. Go rain! Had wood delivered last Thursday. Met with the SS last Friday, and it was absolutely pouring with rain! This is both a good and bad thing...good for the curing of the concrete, , not so good for the progress of the house ! We have a big pile of wood and not much framing happening. Really been a quiet week. Maybe they are just waiting to bank the cheque before continuing .
