Even more worrying is we couldn't get anyone to do our fences for 4 weeks so have to move in without them!! Not going to feel very safe. Good luck with it all, hope you get to move in soon. Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - Entire House Flooded : 70Feb 25, 2012 9:48 pm Carlisle have been great, they had teams of people in the house on Friday. Today all the flooring is out & there are dehumidifiers all through the place, 3 in every room. Glad we rang the power company & told them not to put it in our name yet, haha. We've had quote for driveway but not fencing yet. Just arranging that now. I can recommend our concreter, he did our crossover & is a friend of my brother. Excellent work & good rates. Are you building with Carlisle? There's quite a few in our vicinity. Good to hear from one of our future neighbours. Michael Hi Michael Can you please send me the quote as we also need the concret works to be handled? Didier Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - Entire House Flooded : 76Feb 26, 2012 11:11 pm OMG! I read your flooding drama and I just so feel for you! so close to getting those keys and that happens! How good though that you hadn't taken possession yet...whilst you are delayed, you don't have to worry about getting it fixed! What absolute _____ though! Hoping the repairs are quick and the rest of the handover is nice and smooth! Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - Entire House Flooded : 77Feb 27, 2012 5:00 pm didier Hi Michael We are also selecting Atlantique36 and planning the site plan now. The slab of Alfresco on your photo, how much does it cost? Didier Hi didier, congratulations on building with Carlisle! We love the Atlantique & are very happy with the house & Carlisle. Unfortunately I can't tell you the cost of the alfresco slab as we got it for free! It was actually an error on Carlisle's part. When we went to tender they mistakenly put in that the alfresco was included in the slab. When we went to sign the contracts they told us it wasn't included, & when I pointed out that we were told at tender that it was, they agreed that they'd made a mistake & they would honour it. Just ask your salesperson or ask for a cost at tender. I keep waiting to be disappointed by Carlisle, but everytime I think I could be I see they come through for people. It is great thet are getting this sorted so rapidly for you. Must suck knowing it was all finished and now you have to wait again, must be killing you!! Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - Entire House Flooded : 79Feb 27, 2012 5:44 pm Really sorry to hear about your flooding....can't believe anyone would be so stupid. Obviously not a plumber Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - Entire House Flooded : 80Feb 27, 2012 5:54 pm Why would someone do that?? They would have seen the water flowing as soon as they took the tap. I hope they are at least using it for something rather than just taking it for 'fun'. I can't imagine how you are feeling right now glad the builders are sorting it out for you as quick as they can.
