Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - Update - Tiling. 45Jan 18, 2012 11:38 am Spoke to the SS & he was just arriving at our site while on the phone. He agreed that the facade appeared to be wrong. Hopefully it will be rectified shortly. Luckily we get to visit the site fairly regularly & can pick things up before they go too far. Not that there have been many mistakes so far. It looks almost finished! The flooring was all done, which I wasn't expecting, door handles all on, most of the taps are in, mirrors up (except powder room,) WIR was fitted out. Should be ready in 3 weeks according to our SS, but it looks like it's not that far off. Unfortunately I forgot my camera. I wasn't really expecting to go in - I hadn't told the SS, but the plumber was there I took a few shots with my phone though. Family room. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Home Theatre. Had a meeting at the kids new School (both starting ELC this year) which is nearby. Was nice to see plenty of progress just since Friday - spa & bath both in, we have running water now, and the facade is all finished ready for painting. Nearly th 52Feb 07, 2012 6:47 pm Visited the house today with the SS - and he sprung on us that he expected to do PCI next week! And that we'd probably have the keys a week after that! Awesome news, but it's caught us a little by surprise! We have to give 28 days notice to vacate the house we've been renting while building. Now we're going to be paying a couple of weeks wasted rent We got a letter last week with a PCI date of 9th March, and while we were told it would probably be earlier than that, we weren't expecting it to be this early! So much to do! If there was an emote of a headless chook running around, I'd use that Still, can't wait to move in. I'm going to wait for the place to be cleaned up with all the little repairs/repaints done before I take photos, but here's the front. Still needs a couple of small things done - the timber blades in front of the windows need to be painted & the downpipes still need to be put in (the rest of the downpipes are done, just not the front ones.) Cant wait to see the end result once your landscaped etc. Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - PCI next week! 54Feb 07, 2012 8:12 pm Oh wow - PCI next week - woohooo!!! Our building thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=51657 Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - PCI next week! 55Feb 08, 2012 1:41 pm Hi Michael, Your house is looking fab!! We are also building in the same part of KD's as you and also nearly finished. Been told our PCI is the 17th of this month!! Just wondering if you've had quotes for your driveway or fencing yet. I've left messages with a couple of fencing contractors but they haven't got back to me. Thanks T. We've had quote for driveway but not fencing yet. Just arranging that now. I can recommend our concreter, he did our crossover & is a friend of my brother. Excellent work & good rates. Are you building with Carlisle? There's quite a few in our vicinity. Good to hear from one of our future neighbours. We are building with Porter Davis, it's the pretty plain looking single story on Vert. Run out of money for the facade unfortunately lol...looking at rendering it at a later date. Very happy with our interior though and can't wait to move in. Had a our first major problem this week, our garage door is the wrong colour!! so trying to sort out before handover. Anyway, sorry to hijack your thread, back on topic. Would love the concreters name, went down to Cranbourne Pre Mix today to check out aggregates and found one we liked so need to get someone booked in soon. Still trying to find someone to do our fences though. Thanks again! Hopefully it won't be too long before all the houses are done. Re: Building Carlisle Atlantique 36 - PCI next week! 59Feb 24, 2012 12:16 pm I am SOOOOOOO p!ssed off right now. We were due to settle the house & pick up the keys this morning. Furniture deliveries, services, drive, fence etc etc all booked in for next couple days, ready for moving in on Tuesday. Last night some %$#@ing A*hole broke into the house & stole the kitchen mixer tap - pulling out the hoses & letting the water run all night. The whole house is flooded. All the flooring needs to be ripped up & replaced, the entire house, plus they need to run dehumidifiers for the next 4 days to dry the place out & then inspect for any other damage. Looking at another 2 weeks now. I guess the only saving grace is that it happened last night & not tonight! At least it's the builder's responsibility. Builder estimates approx $30,000 damage, all for a $500 mixer tap.
