Morning all
Very excited to be building at Bingara Gorge in sunny Wilton! I have had the land for a couple of months and have just received notice that my plans are approved after only 5 days at council. Anyone else building at Bingara?

I have had the land for a couple of months and have just received notice that my plans are approved after only 5 days at council. Anyone else building at Bingara? Re: Bingara Gorge 2Nov 19, 2011 11:14 pm Not quite building yet but hope to be! Won't be for at least a year yet that we can get the ball rolling but I want to learn the process and really take our time making sure our home is 'the dream'!! How has your build progressed since you posted in August? Re: Bingara Gorge 3Nov 20, 2011 1:48 am Wow, thats quick! Bingara is a great spot, if it werent so far from work for me, it would have been high on my list. Is there still an irrate owner hanging signange whinging about the developers on the side of his house? Re: Bingara Gorge 5Nov 28, 2011 8:50 am Hello all The protest signage is in relation to certain items that were part of the development 'attraction' such as: Golf course not completed/started! - has been going for a while now but still looking nowhere near complete. I think there are supposed to be 9 holes ready by mid-2012 No gas on estate - residents were using gas bottles supplied by Delfin. Gas connections all up now as far as i know No school - Primary school has been open for some time now. I haven't seen the sign for a while. Re: Bingara Gorge 7Nov 28, 2011 2:22 pm I think there is going to be problems like suggested above no matter what estate. It only takes one weirdo to think he is being hard done by to ruin it for others. I think the estate is amazing and can not wait to start building. Things take time to be created and I was there not long ago, they are about to start building on the country club soon as well. Thats so awesome! What 'village' are you in? We are looking at highlands, I just love what the colour scheme will be. You pay for the lot but I think its worth it. It only takes one weirdo to think he is being hard done by to ruin it for others. Part of the problem is the developer's track record ... its a joint effort between Delfin and Bradcorp, and one of Bradcorp's last efforts (Stonequarry Estate), was a failure. No golf course, no hotel/conference facilities, no health spa. The main road through the estate just stops dead, with the second half of allotments not even to be developed. If you'd bought in there new, you will have taken a massive hit. Luckily, with Delfin involved, it looks like Bingara wont meet the same fate. Re: Bingara Gorge 11Dec 07, 2011 4:22 pm Quote: What 'village' are you in? We are in Pembroke, would have preferred closer to the golf course but the $400k pricetags scared me off..... In "Pacific Golfer" magazine this month there is a feature on the clubhouse and in the article they are now saying that the first 9 holes will be ready by the end of 2012. I hope this course isn't outrageously expensive else i won't be able to afford to play after paying for the house! Hopefully there is a discount for residents. Re: Bingara Gorge 12Dec 10, 2011 2:07 pm I'd like to say there will be but from what I understood the gold course will be privately run. The club house will be run by 'the estate' which we will pay our 'fees' for and then greenway fees will be more. We were interested in Highlands but hearing about the road changes and a new entry going in there we decided to just stick with Pembroke as you get bigger land - more bang for your buck. We are hoping to ready to build mid way through 2013. Thats when we will start our 'process'. Do you enjoy living at BG socrates or is it less than its cracked up to be? Quote: road changes and a new entry going in What new entry? I heard that the land across the freeway where the skydiving is is all owned by Bradcorp and houses will go in there in approx 20 years (??) I also heard that there will be a bridge across the freeway to the Bradcorp side but i imagine that is a long way off. Quote: we decided to just stick with Pembroke as you get bigger land - more bang for your buck. Couldn't agree more, i got a huge block for less than a block of 2/3 the size at Mount Annan etc Re: Bingara Gorge 14Dec 15, 2011 4:50 pm Basically as you enter, to your left there is 'Condelle Park Road' which will be 'snipped' off and turned into a cul-de-sac and as it goes parellel to piction road and then turns in towards BG again will be joined by a new road from Picton Road to make a new entry that will end up linking up with a road in highlands and then goes directly onto Fairway Dr. This 'new road will incorporate part of 'Condell Park Rd' BUT will be renamed Berrima Road and CPR will just be a cul de sac seen from both entries |
