Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 01, 2011 11:13 pm Hi All, I posted here several months ago regarding owner building. We have now had house plans drawn up by a draftsman. It is a large house of 550sqm ( 2 story) inc alfresco gargage etc Several builders have quoted around the $650,000 mark ( estimates) to finish the house, tiles, painted etc. We have a budget of $530,000 We are looking at building to lockup and then finsihing the house ourselves. Any advice from anyone or any websites that tell me everything that we would have to do. We have done a massive list but it isw always growing. Should I take the plan to get quotes now for things? Thanks In advance Re: building to lockup 2Aug 02, 2011 5:41 am Here is a link to a fairly good checklist for a professional site supervisor. http://www.masterbuilders.asn.au/zone_f ... _10_08.pdf There is also some relevant info on my website see link in my signature below The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get !
