Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 01, 2011 6:50 pm Hi All, This is my first post on this very helpful forum. Still it is very difficult to make decisions We have moved into Australia 2 years ago and now we are ready to give it a try on building our own home. Today we went to Home Quest in Bella Vista, the builder which we liked to visit was closed and the others were very expensive, one would think that the prices shown there were "turn key" , but no, still without flooring etcetcetc, same as project builders, speaking of project homes, we already saw a huge amount of them,in Kellyville, but every time there is something which makes that it is not "our dream home" What I would like is to handle over my ideas about how many rooms I would like to have, the size of it, that I like my kitchen in front of backyard etc, I know exactly what I would like to have in a house. Finally my question Is there anybody who were working all this things out with the help of these guys?? http://www.customhomedesigns.com.au/ for me this sounds really as a relaxing idea, somebody who will take care of the whole process. and another question , sorry, is it a very stupid idea to build a kithome by a builder? I saw a very nice one from Harkaway homes, Hope someone can help me out have a great day, Liz Re: custom builders help 2Aug 01, 2011 7:19 pm Hi Liz and welcome There are quite a few builders in the Kellyville area that design and build custom homes for a reasonable price. I am building with Zen homes in Kellyville but you can also try Zac homes, elderton Homes and the Rightbuild, they all have a design service and do custom builds and tend to include everything for a reasonable price. There are a few of us on here that have dealt with these companies, happy to provide an idea on cost etc if you would like. Sorry cant help you with customhomedesigns Good luck custom builders help 3Aug 01, 2011 7:31 pm We used Reward Homes to build our home in Stonecutters Ridge, they do turnkey packages with awesome inclusions... They are also flexible with modifying one of their designs or designing your own home. Have a look at http://www.rewardhomes.com.au Re: custom builders help 4Aug 02, 2011 4:43 pm Thanks for the warm welcome! And for the info. Yes , knowing a bit more about the costs would be awesome, if you prefer to do so in a pm, would love it. Why I am so mixed up is because I saw someone writing here that they had an offer for flyscreens for the whole house for 150 dollars, yesterday I was with a builder in Homequest and on the list was an option for flyscreens, you'd better sit down for what's coming, 2995 dollars Although wearing very high heels I was able to run away, my email: vivadelaviva@gmail.com thanks GoGo65 Re: custom builders help 7Aug 02, 2011 8:04 pm Hparis, I just had a look on the website of Rewardhomes, wow, they have pretty good inclusions!
