Good idea on the two ovens. I probably don't cook enough to warrant it but the other night I was making cakes all night for my son's birthday and also had to cook a roast. I was up all night. My first thought on the sink is that you'll hit your head so I hope you're short like me. I'm sure there is plenty of clearance. The overheads really make that area far more attractive. We moved our fridge onto that side so only have a small cupboard under a reduced window. Love your bricks!! Fi has moved in!! Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 372Oct 30, 2009 7:42 am Hi Brit, I had the same thought about the overhead cabinets i am short so im lucky. Im looking forward to my pantry- ive got pull out draws, underneath bench top so all my stuff will be behind doors..... and ive got a lock on one of them so i can hide my goodies in them so they don't get pinched by my children talk soon Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 373Oct 30, 2009 8:58 am Hey Brit, Definitely still on Cloud 9. If there were a cloud 10, we'd be on it Such a relieve to finally be in our home that we have waited so long for Rosa, I just checked your blog...hey your feauture tiles are something else. I really like the slate look about them. They look similar to the stamped concrete look I wanted for the driveway. We however, went with exposed aggregate as its lesser maintenance. Rosa, you need to proclaim the name of your builder. They have done a fantastic job at record speed and I am sure other members contemplating building the buckingham would love to have them. Pleassseeee post more pics...the anticipation is excruciating Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 374Nov 09, 2009 5:31 pm Hi Everyone, thought i would keep everyone updated.... Shower screens and mirrors went in today Cleaners in wed & thurs ( AS LONG AS THE PAINTERS FINISH ) Walk through on Thursday Carpets - Monday SO EXCITED !!!! AND HANDOVER 20TH NOVEMBER WOOO HOOOOO YIPEE HOORAYYY Re: NBG Buckingham 36E, Moved in and lots of pics... finally!!! 375Nov 11, 2009 1:52 pm WOW CONGRATULATIONS ROSA !!!!! What an incrdible timeline...i think among all who have built the buckingham...your timeline has been the best so far and i think ours has been the worse so far but all that is behind us now...The heating people came by today and have replaced the vent in the masterbedroom to a much larger one...so all set for winter and summer isn't even here yet. I am over the moon with our evap cooler...it is in one word A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I could have been fooled that we were having a hot week had i not ventured out to the front yard (landscaping underway). When you're indoors...the evap cooler makes you feel like you're in winter...mmmmm....very very nice...i am scared to see our electricity bill though. i have been told that evap cooling is economical...not sure if it still is as we have been running it 24/7...
